Re: newbie on board

  • ooooh. hubby is shutting off my computer right now, but i know what i am stalking on fb tomorrow!
  • (disclaimer: mr.smiles is not controlling and taking away my computer lol. i tend to stay up after 2am every night and tomorrow we have to get up early to look at houses, then we have to clean, and then we have to host a new years party. he is just gently reminding me of how tired i'm going to be by the time people get here if i don't get a decent night's sleep! end disclaimer.)
  • Meh, my H does this too Sarah. Have a good night's rest!

Damn Sarah. I thought DH was turning the computer off, tossing you over his shoulder and taking you to make a woman out of you. Again.

And if you made my sarcasm font comic sans bold, I'd never, ever use it, and people would thing your emails are all supposed to be sarcastic. What good would that do?

P.S. I like this newbie too! Not only because she said I was a fave, but because she answered the dream wedding question correctly. Meaning, she didn't use the words tiara or princess.

  • except i do have a problem with people who think it's more important to get married at a temple than to have their familes present.

there. i said it. it really bothers me. a lot. i wanted to throat punch my friend when she told me she hoped i could fly out to NM for her wedding next month but that i wouldn't be allowed in to see the ceremony. oh, and neither would the groom's parents. her priorities are a little off, IMO. doesn't God see you wherever you are? so wouldn't you want to be someplace where God and your parents could ALL see you?
  • The groom's parents?!  Ouch.  I cannot imagine them being ok with that.

  • sorry, newb. i like you. it's just a sore spot for me right now.
  • This is the kindest intro thread I think I've ever seen.

With all the knotties defecting lately, maybe it seems like we need to hold on to any cool newbs that come along. It is a very nice intro thread though. I expected it to go the other way, especially given the mention of intro threads in fishy's newb/lurker post below.
