I went to UArts and all of the dancers hung out at the Irish Pub. FI was a bartender there back then. He was so handsome, I couldn't stop going back lol.

My FI lives in VA right outside of DC and I live in PA about 2+ hrs from him. We met in Arkansas.
He says that he noticed me the very first day of his classes(I was in my second year and he was in his first year). We have a mutual friend and he mentioned to her that he was interested in me. Because of my situation (I was seeing someone else at the time) she never mentioned anything to me and never gave him the green light to make a move.

Eventually when I was no longer involved and no longer looking, I started to notice FI because he was one of the few good guys in our school. I mentioned one day in passing to our mutual friend that I found him attractive and thought he had the sweetest personality. Our friend got really excited and said that she was going to tell him what I said. I just kind of laughed and didn't think about it too much but then the next day FI came over to me in the library and started a conversation. We exchanged numbers and our relationship grew from there. We've been doing the long distance thing since I moved back to PA in 2007 (he moved back to VA after he graduated in 2008) and our looking forward to bridging the gap after we get married at the end of this year.

Oh BTW I love all the people meeting on E-harmony etc...I always tell FI that we should go one there and get matched up so we can be on the commercials!

Great question...I love everyone's stories.

My FI and I met in our apartment building at Penn State. I had stayed out late because I had turned in my master's paper that day and I was standing by the elevator when he came out. He said, "what were you up to that you are getting home at 4:30 in the morning?" We chatted, but nothing else. Then we ran into each other a couple of weeks later, again at the elevator. I found out he kayaks and he said, "so, do you want to see my new boat?" While checking out his kayak, he asked me out for that night. Our first official date was to Olive Garden. The funny thing is I don't think we have been back since we left State College.
