Am I in some alternate universe? There have been NO posts overnight since I was last on, not since the wrong plane ticket post?

What is going on? Is anyone even awake?

    What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

    Ok after just fiddling with many of my firefox options I realized that you (stackeye) and I probably just have our posts ordered different.

    Good morning!  Actually I wouldn't be surprised if there weren't any posts overnight.  It was pretty dead in here yesterday.  It seemed like a ton of people were missing - Heels, Cew, Bec, Sarahsmiles, Betrothed, I don't know, all the regs except us that were here!  :)

    I'm tired this morning.

    I think I saw cew around a bit in the evening, but I didnt see anyone else that you mentioned. It did seem like it was really dead yesterday, nothing exciting happened thats for sure.

    Yeah it has been pretty dead since friday, the weekend was even slower than normal. Maybe because its becoming nicer out (in some/most places) people arent around as much.

    Good morning!I got to work late (relatively speaking, since I got here at 7:50, but anyway). Had a conference with 2 of my older daughter's teachers this morning, so I'm running a bit behind. Have to take her to the oral surgeon this afternoon, so I am not looking forward to that.

    Fischey, for whom was the memorial service?

    The psychiatrist that I work for/with's 21 year old daughter got killed by a car in Pensacola, FL while she was on a pay it forward mission trip with NDSU while she was out on a jog.

    Just a beautiful, smart, vibrant girl who gave everything she had to others. She was set to enlist in the peace corp this year.

    The service was at NDSU, and it was the saddest darn thing I've ever been to.

    I called everyone in my family last night and told them I loved them.

    Uhm, since I was "testing" a cut of meat, I cheated and made Chicken Fried Steak with milk gravy, mashed potatos and green beans.  I figured this way, if the meat was totally wrong, I hadn't wasted a lot of ingredients and time.  But, since it turned out great, the stir fry will be later this week :-)

    My husband and I were just talking about saved by the bell the other day, and his memory of it is really shoddy. He doesnt even remember any of the episodes, the one where they are watching AC's gecko and he dies, my husband thought it was screeches frog that died. Uuugh.

    I always remember the episode where Jesse takes speed to study and goes crazy . And the summer they work at the beach and Zach falls for the wife from King of Queens.  I loved Saved by the Bell.  :)

    Fische, that is so terrible.  I can't imagine what her family is going through, and just being there at the funeral for someone so young, that's really heartbreaking.  Cry

    Oh man, it's the saddest of the sad. There are just no words.

    There was a memo that went out before the service asking everyone to wear bright colors because Sarah wouldn't have wanted anyone to wear black to her funeral. Her whole family and friends showed up in bright outfits and urged everyone to celebrate her life, not mourn her death.

    Both her mom and dad flew down to Florida to speak with the woman (and her young son) that hit her to make sure she knew that no one held her at fault, and that they knew it was truly an accident.

    Just classy, graceful people. But there was a slide show at the end that would make even the strongest woman cry her heart out and to hear her mom, dad, and sisters just sobbing was....heart wrenching.

    Mags - I usually watch SBTB in the mornings too!  But today it was Sunrise Earth so I missed Zack Attack.

    I'm hoping today is better than yesterday although I can't say I helped at all yesterday.  Did a lot of lurking, but didn't really have anything interesting to contribute, haha.
