    8 weeks from wedding...unless your caterer needs numbers unusually earlier than is the norm of about 2 weeks before the wedding (I only say this because I have heard that there are caterers out there who want numbers like a month or even more in advance, in which case you should send out invites earlier).

    As a guest, it's nice to get it earlier than the 8 week mark...  If you can get them out between the 8 and 12 week mark that's great because that gives you time for the people that don't send their RSVP's back to get them contacted and get the numbers to your caterer, baker, and reception site without putting any unnecessary stress on you two weeks before your wedding ...
