I recently showed my brother this: http://hipsterhitler.com/

He thinks its hilarious, and I think its partly because hes a little whiny teenage hipster himself.

He wants to dress up for halloween as HIPSTER hitler (not normal hitler, if that makes a difference)

While I find it to be a hilarious idea, I don't think it's a good one. Hipster or normal hitler, either way it's hilter. Only appropriate at themed halloween parties, I think.

Nebb - I think that is really, really funny - but I think if he goes out there dressed like that he could get his ass kicked. I don't think everyone has seen Hipster Hitler and will appreciate the funny. He'll either have to explain his halloween costume to everyone ad nauseum all night or, like I said before... get his ass kicked.

I just think that looks more like Hipster Charlie Chaplin.

I say bad idea. If he were going to a friend's halloween party and he knew everyone, and knew they'd "get it", I'd say fine. But who knows. I wouldn't take the chance.

I think it's a bad idea. I didn't think the comic was funny, to be honest, and I would bet a lot of people wouldn't get it. Plus, I don't think dressing up like Hitler, hipster or otherwise, is ever funny, but that's just me.

I have a friend who likes to be an asshole on Halloween.

He went as dead Steve Irwin with a sting ray stinger in his chest one year. Another year he dressed as the 35W bridge collapse.

I have a friend who is latino and had a beard. During 9/11, a lot of hicks would yell to him, "Go Home!" and the like, thinking he was Arabic. That Halloween he dressed up as Osama Bin Laden and my other friend was Abraham Lincoln, it was so funny to see them drinking together all night.

No pictures, sadly - but basically, he was wearing grey sweats and he'd spray painted grey pieces of styrofoam tacked onto his clothes that were painted like a highway - and then he had little hot wheels cars hanging off of him all over the place.

It was the Halloween after it had happened and it was like... man... some of us knew people on that bridge. And people died. Not cool.

I voted no, mainly because he's a teenager. While I'm all for freedom of expression, I think that with school (assuming he will wear the costume near school) and with bullying issues, I would pass on this.

Personally, I think it's tasteless, anyway, but people have the right to dress up as whatever they want (not in school, but at parties, etc).

He got a drink thrown on him. He was also shunned from parties for years. In fact, we heard he is coming to a thanksgiving party this year and we were shocked. Should be interesting. The thing is, he wasn't even young and stupid. We were 23.

Last time we saw him we were at a bar in NYC and he was there because he lives in the area. Some one asked him what time it was and he told the dude to go eff himself. This was last year. So yeah, my hopes are not high. He is that dude that jsut finds out where people are and shows up. ugh.

We don't have Columbus Day. it's Native American day here. So The People can celebrate the coming of the beginning of the end? Leif Ericson found America WAY before Columbus. By like, 500 years.

Our Grandpa is Sioux. We get a lot of conflicting white man vs. native info. usually yelled at the top of our lungs until my mother turns red from embarrassment and starts hitting the wine.

Thanksgiving is at our house this year and the rumor is that the skit will be loosely based on a cross between the Pocahontas and Harry Potter movies. There may or may not be a working title of "He-who-must-not-be-names sets the white people straight." Don't tell my mom. She'll get heart palpitations.
