Bridesmaid's Bouquets as Centerpieces?

Hi there!  I am getting married next June (I know, a long ways away) but I want to make a decision about the centerpieces so all my design ideas and budget can come into place.
Has anyone "re-purposed" the bridesmaids' bouquets as centerpieces? My wedding is taking place at the National Museum of Dance, an elegant but not stuffy venue. All white. I am thinking alternating tables with them and other centerpieces as tall branches/ with crystal. Is it tacky to display their bouquets in a nice vase on alternating tables? It seems like those beautiful (expensive) bouquets should be used for more than holding for half an hour!
Thanks!

  • I have seen them used as centerpieces for the head or sweetheart table, but not guest tables.  I used mine on my cake table (I only had 3).
  •  i think thats an awesome idea!  My wedding is in October of next year and i was planning to alternate high and low centerpieces. I might steal your idea to reuse my NINE bridesmaid's bouquets for the lower table centerpieces. Great idea!
  • Yup - that's what we did.  I hated the idea of paying for more flowers when perfectly lovely bouquets would be available following the ceremony.

    It worked out great!

I have five bridesmaids - planning to use at the king's table with bridal party. Hadn't thought about the cake table, like that idea as well!
  • We are using the bridesmaids and mothers bouquets on guest tables. We got beautiful vintage silver vases to put them in.
