Signature Drinks

When I was at home over the weekend my dad started throwing out wedding lingo like signature drink. That messed with my head.

Anyway my dad wants to have cesars as a signature drink. Since this drink is virtually unknown outside of Canada. I though a Canadian signature drink and an American signature drink would be fun.

So, here is my question:

What is a uniquely American cocktail?

Martini, Manhattan, Tequila Sunrise, Margarita, Long Island Iced Tea, Cosmopolitan, The Mint Julep, Daquiri, Mojito, and Piña Colada.

There are plenty but do you have a theme or trend or certain hard liqueur you're using to tie it together?

I had no idea cesars were a Canadian drink, clearly I don't leave Canada enough to know this, I learned something new today!

Quilting - Yeah, they were invented in Calgary. I guess it is the Canadian version of the bloody mary.

    Bud Light?

I think a Cosmo or a Long Island would be great!

I agree with Elle except for the Bud Light, which I think was a joke.  ;)

P.S. Do people drink Caesars outside of brunch hours?  Because typically, people only drink Bloody Marys during breakfast/brunch/early lunch in the US.  (I looked it up and it is what we would call a Bloody Mary - same ingredients.)

ETA: The differnce is Caesars are served with "clamato" juice (half tomato, half clam juice), whereas a Bloody Mary is served with tomato juice.

How un-American of you.  You should be ashamed.

Bud Light is hardly what I'd call a "beer" and is now owned by a Belgian company.

It's a terrible beer regardles of who owns it, but the fact that it is now owned by a Belgian company makes it un-American, obviously.  <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-wink.gif" border="0" alt="Wink" title="Wink" />

    I totally agree with this.

    *looks around frantically*

I come from that part of the world where it's a cardinal sin to dislike any of the following:

    Bud Light
    Nascar
    The Bible
    Guns
    Republicans
    Camouflage
    Trucks
    etc.
