Wanted to share my invitation with yall! My future FIL operates a printing press so all my paper stuff was fuh-ree! My MOH designed them for me (STD as well) and I'm so thrilled with them.The flamingo is a local thing, were not really decorating the whole joint with flamingos (though I haven't decided if I wanna have yard flamingos lining the aisle cause that would just be awesome.

    Maybe it's just me, but is it weird that only 'Marriage' & 'Their Daughter' are capitalized in the sentence?

    yeah idk about the capitalization...like i said someone else wrote it out for me and it probably just looked better that way even if its not "gramatically correct"however my daddy didnt say anything and hes the grammar nazi

    I like them a lot!  I love flamingos and I think it would be awesome to have a flamingo lined aisle (FI, however, thinks I'm crazy so obviously that's not happening).  :)

    I loooove flamingos! In Baton Rouge it is the symbol of the local Mardi Gras, they have a huge ball that is themed and everyone wears hot pink and uses flamingos as decorations on tables and the like (its meant to be satirical and tacky) For example this year it was a "jailbird" theme as the former governor of LA now just released from prison was the grand marshall for the parade.They also "flock" the LSU lakes with giant wooden flamingos (we have one in our yard, it required waders to steal lol)
    its jsut something that is soooo unique to our area and adds a touch of fun to the wedding when its thought of in the Mardi Gras context.

    yeah I think I'm convinced that I'm going to do flamingos. Just two sets...one at the start of the aisle and one at the end. just a little tacky to make people smile :)
    I'll send pics when I DIY them this weekend (ie put them in cute planters)
