Getting in Shape

I need your help!

Hi ladies! I hope you are all doing well. I need your help!

We are starting a diet and exercise 10-week challenge at work and I'm the captain of our team. It's only four us from our department (3 girls, 1 guy) and I need some ideas for weekly challenges. So far I have:

Week 1: Goals: What are your goals for this 10-Week program?
Week 2: Water: Drink half your body weight in ounces in water each day (i.e. 150 lbs = 75 oz)
Week 3: Fiber: Up your fiber intake each day
Week 4: Fruits & Veggies: Eat fruits & veggies with each meal
Week 5: Movement: Get 30 minutes of activity in each day
Week 6: Read Labels: Know what you're putting in your body
Week 7: New: Try a new fitness activity

I need three more week challenges. Along with these challenges, I'm planning to send out a healthy recipe and some interesting fitness/health related article each week. I've got the articles and recipes down for the most part, but I'm struggling with the last three challenges. 

Can you ladies help me out? Anything you'd want to try if you were doing something like this?

    That sounds like a lot of fun!  I hope your team kicks butt!

    Here are some ideas:
    1. Park as far away as you can (think: mall parking lot, at work, at the grocery, etc.)
    2. No carbs after lunch (this one is from Bob Harper's rules for weight loss-what he means by carbs is bread/startch type foods)
    3. Run (or run/walk, as needed) 1 mile per day, each day of the week

  • I love the potluck idea kw! Everyone only has to worry about planning one healthy lunch, but then gets to eat healthy all week-awesome!

  • I like all those goals! You could even add workout with a friend..that way you are getting other people involved in your weightloss plan
