in October 2013 Weddings
We have certain members of this board that don't really add anything here very often, but then go to a different board and talk crap about something someone posted. Why not say something to the OP about it instead of basically talking about her behind her back?

Someone from the other board was kind enough to tell me. I do go over to other boards regularly, and actually looked at it, but it completely did not click.

    I gotta ask, was this related the apology on the DIY boards, Stina? Sigh.

    I guess when you get a ton of ladies all in one place.... It's unfortunate that it happened, though. :(

    No - it was about my etiquette question about response time for wedding communications.

    Not gunna liie, turns me off of the boards a little bit.

    You are correct, it was about you. Please don't let one person turn you away. I think it was foolish what she did and someone else on that board called her out on it.

    Hannah - it would annoy me too. What I don't get is that there was a portion of your post I didn't agree with 100% - so I stated my opinion in a way that (I hope!!) didn't offend you.

    Why someone else would take it to a completely different group is beyond me. Don't let it get you down too much and know that there are many other posters who will give opinions in a much more friendly, helpful, and less-judgey way.

    Nothing that anyone actually responded to my post offended me, and I did get good ideas. It's the backhandedness that is offputting. I know not to put things out there that you don't want a negative response on, because you never know what people's reactions are going to be. Not everyone will always agree with you.

    The thing that bugged me about is that she didn't bother to tell you she didn't agree with what you said before going over there to shame you somehow.  I hope that she got little satisfaction from reposting, since it seemed that no one on the E Board was really all that fazed by it.  While she claims that she is "not a mean girl", she certainly came off that way, and I won't forget that she posted that about you.  Totally uncalled for. 

    Sometimes it is fascinating that people really show what kind of people they are in the inside and what kind of integrity they have when they are safe behind their computer screens.  She is obviously the kind of person who would get a kick out of calling someone out (which is the definition of a mean girl).  Good riddance.

    I'll second, third, fourth and fifth everyone else.  Don't let it turn you away.  At first I felt the same way.  Thought it was a little bit highschool the way some women would do exactly what was done to you.  Then I said I would try the month board and see if I could just converse with women in the same frame of mind as me and planning along side me.  It worked and this is just about the only place I post anything but I lurk the other boards all the time.  I see that stuff and I keep moving, it's too petty.  
    Stick around Hannah.  Not everyone is like that and it seems we have a good honest group here on this board. 
    Maybe we can all pinky swear to not let one person who doesn't add anything to the group be the same person that causes a regular to leave?

    That makes me sad. I'm still a newbie here, but I've felt completely welcome since day one on this board! I cant imagine gossiping behind another woman's back simply because you didn't agree with her post. Hope you stick around with us Hannah!
