wedding at public place?

Does anyone know about getting married in a public place- bellagio fountains, las vegas parks (springs preserve,mt. charleston etc.), hotel grounds/gardens? Looking for a pretty place to get married with no fees, I understand in a public place there is the risk of interuptions, but it will just be the minister, photographer, bride and groom, so it's hard for me to fathom spending tons of money to rent space for a 10 minute ceremony.  thanks for your input!

    i would think for most truly public places/parks, you would need to get some kind of permit through the city (which would cost money).

    i also am going to throw out a wild guess that you can't get married in front of the Bellagio fountains.  i don't think you can block a public sidewalk for a wedding, especially a sidewalk as busy as that one.  and i'm sure the Bellagio will make you get married through their wedding chapel to be at the fountains.

    Actually at public parks you only need a permit if a) you are reserving the covered seating area and b) you are having more than 250 guests...I checked into this for other reasons. You can look all that info on the city of las vegas website just to verify for yourself. There are some really nice parks that you can get married out with nice green grassy areas, little lakes or waterfalls in the background etc. Good Luck!

    thanks.. I will look into the las vegas city website - i tried looking at the las vegas parks and rec website, but couldn't find out what i needed there

    a minister told me that lots of people get married in front of the bellagio fountains, he made it sound like it was a public place and compared it to getting married in front of the las vegas sign

    i book my wedding @ scenic weddings..4 a public las vegas strip wedding..check out there website 4 great ideas!
