30 day shred

Hey! I am thinking about ordering the 30 day shred dvd and wanted to know what yall think about it.  I have read great things and how it really works your legs.  I also wanted to make sure I am ordering the right one, lol.

I am positive this is the right one, but apparently you can order 3 of her dvds in one too. Has anyone ever tried the other dvds she has?

  • I bought all three of them together. They are all killer! I like 30 Day Shred the best because its 20 mins. Where the other ones are about an hour. I'm a stay at home mom during the day...and I work at night. So the only time I really have to work out is while my son is napping so sometimes the hour long videos are just too much when I only have so much time to get it done in! But I love them all!

  • Not sure which others you can get with it, but I'd go for the 3 pack if you can.  When I have more time, I like doing longer workouts. I have several Biggest Loser and Jillian dvds. Love them. Mix up my workouts almost every day. I love the Metabolism Boost dvd. No weights, all cardio.  Kicks your butt, but it's awesome. On days when I don't have as much time or if my knee is acting up, I will skip a few of the circuits in the program, but still get at least 30 minutes intense cardio.  I always feel like I can kick someone's butt after her workouts. Like "I made it through this! I'm STRONG!"  It's a great boost.

  • dont plan on doing anything that requires moving after the first day you do it! the day after i did it my legs killed to do anything!!! havent done it since...lol

  • Thank you!! Awesome, I am so excited now and I will order the 3 pack.  No sense in ordering 1 then realizing I want the rest.  Crazy, I am excited about not being able to move! Tongue out
  • It def will kick you butt! After the first day, later that night I was already feeling it in my legs. I did not do it again for 2 days. I lost 5 lbs in a week by alternating 30 minutes of cardio on the days I couldn't do the DVD.
  • I am starting it tonight as well! Now I am scared that I won't be able to walk tomorrow! haha
  • It's a great workout...you will be sore but it's totally worth it...I was unable to do the whole thing when I first started...and three workouts in, I can do all the push-ups (the easy ones tho) and my endurance has definitely gotten better.  It's awesome!

  • I also lost 5 pounds the first week alternating days with 30 minutes of cardio on the gazelle. Lost 4 pounds the second week. It's hard at first but stick to it and it will get easier each time. Good luck!!!
  • I got the dvd 2 days ago and it is very tough!  I did the whole thing but my legs and arms are still killing me!  I can't wait until I can do it again and start seeing some results! 
  • It's definitely more of an "instant gratification" kind of workout program. You see BIG results FAST as long as you stick with it.
  • One thing I love about this workout is that it only requires hand weights and a yoga mat or towel. Really easy stuff to get! For only a 20 minute work out, it is pretty good. I can definitely feel it. I do it in the morning and feel great all day!

  • 30 day shred = amazing!!!

    i absolutely LOVE the workout! jillian really kicks your butt, and it shows! i did the video for about 2 months and got to the second level (even though you're supposed to go up every 10 days). i would still be doing it, but got injured and have gained some back ]:  but within a few weeks of getting started FI and others noticed a big difference! as soon as i recover, i'm getting back into the routine!

  • Get the 3 pack for sure.
    I love the 30 day shred for work days or when I don't have much time, since they're 20 minute workouts that incorporate strength, cardio, and abs, so you get a well rounded workout in a short time.
     On weekends when I have more time, I love her hour long ones (it usually takes me longer than an hour though cause I need a break in between some of those circuits - WHEW!) They totally kick your butt and you will definitely be hurting later, but it's well worth it!

    If you like her, you may also like the Biggest Loser workouts. I have the strength training one and it's pretty good!
  • I love this DVD so much! You should get it, everyone should because its such fun and its fast, just about 30 mins. Keeps you moving the whole time and you dont get bored. Jillian rocks!
  • I just got mine in the mail! I thought about the three pack but wanted to do this one first, not sure if I'll be able to stick to a DVD, you know? I heard its GREAT thought. The girls on the July 2010 board rave about it.

  • I ordered the 30 day shred and Boost Metabolism yesterday.  When I went back to order the 3 pack, it was unavailable :( But that's ok.  I can always get the 3rd later or a Biggest Loser one, etc.  I can't wait!  
  • I bought the fat burning one, 40 min workout, and at first I couldn't get through the whole thing, she is TOUGH, but now I can get through by toughing it out :)
  • My fiance and I have this and we love it. She is really hard core, i think it will give us the results we are wanting.  We just came up with a sechdule today on how we can do it in the mornings daily! Good Luck, i hope we all have sucess at it :)

  • for post workout pain prevention... soak in a HOT HOT bath for 15 minutes with 2cups of UNSCENTED pure epsom salts, it helps pull out the lactic acid that builds in the muscles, and dont forget to stretch!!.  NOTE 15 min only!  then have a quick shower to rinse off the toxins.
  • Has anyone tried Jillian's book too? I LOVE it. Lots of great recipes to add in with your workouts for great results.
  • I agree!  30 day shred is awesome but I wanted to strangle Jillian after the first day! :)  I was SO sore I could barely walk....but this is coming from a girl who hadn't worked out in any form for 6 months before that!  After the first few days, it does get easier....barely though :)  I hope you enjoy it...I definitely want to keep it up and get in great shape for my wedding in August.  It's hard to find time and stay motivated, but I have a pretty good reason, so that helps!  I want to look my best obviously, so hopefully the 30 day shred will help...and hopefully it will help you too!
  • i have been doing the 30 day shred but to be honest its not enough of a workout for me since i was already working out 1-2 hours a day 5 days a week. but on the plus side I do it in the morning before i leave for work and then i will go to the gym at night. also buy the book making the cut. it will tell you your metabilism type and give you a workout plan and a diet to go with it.
  • Does it really tone you up in 30 days? I have 6 weeks before the wedding and I've been going to the gym a couple times a week for ~1 hour each time, but I just don't see a difference!
  • You ladies convinced me to buy this DVD. Typically I don't do well with workour DVD's, but I'm really looking forward to getting this one in the mail and get started. Woo hoo!

  • I was inspired by this post to buy the dvd tonight. I found it for $9.00 at Walmart! 
    I'll start it tonight, sooo yay!!
  • I like the 30 day shred, but can only do it in the evenings or weekends (must take a shower afterwards). The DVD has inspired me to wake up 10  minutes early and listen to the marketplace report on NPR and do crunches. I alternate the 30 day shred with a Pilates for Pink DVD with Mari Windsor. I highly recommend that one as well. My fiance does the biggest loser weight loss yoga and he absolutely loves it!
  • I will be going to get this in the morning immediately after I drop the kids off at school.I am convinced .
