Paying the Officiant

What is the running rate for paying an officiant? Our officiant is the pastor's wife of my parent's church. They have not mentioned any payment and I have no idea what is appropriate.

    You should discuss payment with your officiant.  Some might ask for a donation to the church while others will charge you a specific fee.

    It's different for every church/officiant. You should ask them because you don't want to assume and underpay them.
