It depends on exactly what material you're looking for. My first thought was a sign company. You could always check into a glass company to see if they could etch plexiglass. Do you have an image in your head of what you're wanting?

As far as where to put them, you can use it for favors, your wedding cake (frosted on the side or letters on the top), in centerpieces, basically anywhere you want them.

  • if you're looking for the monogram lit up at the reception, its called a gobo and you can get it from your DJ or lighting company.

  • I glanced at the title of this thread and definitely thought it said "mamograms"! HAHAHA

  • I've seen a monogram on the dance floor done by the DJ. It looked amazing! I think he projected the monogram with some lighting.

  • For the wall behind you, you can have a decal made.  Usually they are made to be applied and then peeled off afterwards, but I can imagine some reception locations not allowing you to mess with their walls.  Understandable.

I made my monogram for use on our invitations, programs and wherever I may decide to put it.  Primarily on our paper goods and not for lighting or anything like that.  You can get really creative with how you use them.

As to where you get them.  I made my own and if you look on the DIY board, it's usually a pretty hot topic.  You can also go through a designer to get one done.  If you search on Etsy.com you'll find plenty of people who can custom make wedding monograms.  Usually they'll give you the file for use however you want.

Whatever you decide, good luck Smile
