I posted on the Introduce yourself thread, but I figured I'd also post a message.
I'm new to the forum and am excited to be here. I'm obviously not engaged yet, but we have discussed marriage and will hopefully be getting engaged in the next few months (he already has the ring :-) )....
In the mean time I'd like to hang out here with all of you.
A little bit about me, this would be my 2nd marriage...I was previously married for 7 years and have been divorced for 3 1/2 years. It would also be his second marriage, he was married for 4 years and divorced for 7. I have three children and he has none.
I'm from Chicago and work as a tech support manager but am not a techie at all... there is so much more I could go on and on...
I'm excited to be here, if there is anything you would like to know about me feel free to ask.
:-)

I SAID potatoes. Exactly how do you make french fries?
I used to work at a bar/grill that made their fries from scratch. They cut them, marinated them, fried them and used their own seasoning.
They made a blue cheese in house that was AMAZING.
OK, now I'm going to get fries for lunch.
NOMMM.

<div>Ha, I rarely associate french fries with potatoes. To me potatoes come: baked or mashed. French fries come: salted or unsalted. :)</div>

[QUOTE]Venus, come back! Sometimes regs just like to give newbs a hard time. I hope you weren't offended. I would like to know your feelings on mac & cheese. What kind is your favorite?

I didn't see anyone giving OP a hard time here?

Yeah, I didn't see it at all either. Amanda was shunned by Elle, and that's about it? Besides some mild interrogation.
ETA: I think it's more likely that she's just busy with stuff?

</div><div>I think I confused this thread with another intro--sorry. Had to do with Peekaboo saying something about our scaring OP away/being scary.</div><div>
</div><div>However, it's true that people do give newbs a hard time. So I'm not too far off. <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-innocent.gif" border="0" alt="Innocent" title="Innocent" /> Also I meant that "hard time" in a loose way--everything from gentle ribbing to actual snark. Although, since tone is hard to read over the internets, it's always possible OP might have been slightly put off and read some comments as a bit shorter than they were intended.</div><div>
</div><div>But I think Bren is right. She probably just got busy. Also, before I was posting regularly here, I had NO idea how quickly people responded on this board (who looks at teensy little time stamps, anyway?), and wouldn't have thought twice about posting and then coming back much later in the day, or the next day. So she might just not know.
