We need to get our thank you notes out this week. I know completely last minute but we were waiting to have cards printed with our wedding pictures. We just got those in the mail and now I need to figure out wording. I have searched on the forum and found a few different options but I guess I have more questions.
For cash gifts something along the lines of "Thank you for the generous gift. It helped tremendously with our honeymoon and we had a great time!" I feel like that kind of sounds silly. I was thinking of including a picture of us on our honeymoon as well to make it a little more personal. Many of our family and friends knew we were specifically looking for cash so we could use the money on our honeymoon. What do you think I should do with this wording?
Also for someone who I am not super close to that did not come to the wedding how should we word it? I don't want it to sound really corny like "I can't wait to see you!". Any suggestions?
And then for a general item like towels or pans or something. "Thank you so much for the air bake pans. We have already used them multiple time and my baking skills have improved greatly! I really appreciate the gift and I can't wait to make you cookies" or something like that. But how do you say thank you for towels? Like "Hey thanks for getting us towels. We use them to dry off after the shower. They work great!" I think I find it a little more difficult because some of the people are good friends (like the towel people) and I think I could have a little fun. Also Salt and Pepper shakers.... "Thanks for the shakers, we have been able to greatly spice up our food." haha.
Just wondering what to do and how to word things. I am generally decent at wording and talking but for some reason I am just having a lot of problems with coming up with wording for our thank you notes.
