Lauren - My mo got her dress from Nordstroms.  We don't normally shop there, but the sales people are SO helpful finding something that looks and fits great.

Stephie - Do the helicopter ride!  We did one in Maui, and it was AWESOME!

Natalie, I must have been MIA, I totally missed your baby fever posts.

That is why I shop there a little more than I used to.  They are great at helping you find what you're looking for.

    Congrats on all the AW's!

@ Julie/Wendi, We are not using Luxury Link--that hotel is not available on our weekend due to some big convention or something.  The weekend before is Easter (and a blackout date), the next weekend is Mother's Day....we just finally decided to scrap it and start over.

@Michelle I am too chicken!  I just see myself plunging to my death in the Grand Canyon.  Plus that package was reallllly expensive.

One more for me.  FI has been in charge of the HM and last night he comes really excited that he has picked a destination.  Problem is it is really expensive, but he has his heart set on going to Bora Bora.

We did some shopping last night and found a place that we can rent for a week right on top of the water for 1800 for the week so that is something we are considering instead of going with a resort.  Resorts are asking around $7000 pp for the week.  IMO I think it is selfish of us to take that expensive of a trip when we have 2 children.  But I could be wrong.

So this is more of a B&M, but I just found out it's going to cost like $7,000 to get out of our apartment lease.

    F. No idea what we're going to do. We can't keep our dog at my parents house until september....*sigh*

here's the problem though. When we rescued her, we called, gave them her information, and they said they would add her to the lease. We'd come up and sign the papers.

We never got the lease, so it was never signed...she's not on it. We haven't paid a deposit for her...technically there's no way to get out of it, not with out 7k and a hit to our credit.

We have two dogs. We bought Max about a year ago. When we moved to this apartment, he came with us. He is on the lease, deposit has been paid for him.

About a month or two after we moved in, we rescued Meeka. On our way to the shelter we called the complex and they said they would work up a new lease, put it in our mail box. And we'd have to sign and return it.

Well...we never received said new lease, Meeka (the siberian) has never been added to it, they have not received our second dog deposit.

Max is fine to remain in the complex, but according to their new change in policy, Meeka is an unauthorized pet in our apartment. She's being taken to my parents tonight. Siberian's and Siberian mixes are no longer an allowed breed in our complex. Which I wish they would have told us this damn change in policy was coming...as this wouldn't have happened in the first place.

To get out of our lease, we must pay: a reletting fee, and break of contract fee, and the remainder of our lease. It comes out to about $7k. We can't fight the change in policy, because we don't have her on the lease yet....I have no idea what we're going to do. My parents agreed to watch her for a few weeks while we sorted this all out. I honestly don't see them keeping her for 8 freaking months!

Sarah, I'm going to drop her off at my parents tonight. Until we figure out what we're going to do. FI's father refuses to watch her (he didn't like the thought of us getting a dog before marriage), FI's mother can't as she has two cats and is in an apt. FI's sister cant, she has two dogs already and no back yard. My brother can't as he still lives with my parents. And the only family friend we'd trust her too...just bought a lab puppy, and also have an older dog that doesn't like Meeka. So I have no idea what we're going to do. All of our close friends live in apartments with her as an aggresive breed. So i have no idea what we're going to do....

I've never heard of that before!  Are they typically aggressive dogs?  I don't think of them as aggressive....I just find it surprising that they are on the list.

That's because they aren't aggresive, they CAN be destructive to personal property...which i don't think that's why it would be on the list....but any website you go to describes them like this:

I have no AW today.  It's actually been kind of a crappy day, other than lunch with an old friend.

Ashlee, that REALLY stinks.  It seems like if you're paying out the rest of your rent, you shouldn't have to pay all those other fees... not like that saves you much, but still.  Maybe you can find someone to sublease your apartment for the remaining time??  I don't know how common that is here, but I know in college it was pretty common.

It's been a pretty crappy day for me as well. Not to mention my coworker called in this morning AGAIN, so this is going on day 7 that she hasn't showed. I'm getting irritated of having to cover her desk.

I also wish FI would be a little more understanding of this situation we find ourselves in, it's irritating when he's constantly making me feel like I don't have the right to be upset at this...

I'm thinking I might talk to my brother about sub-leasing it. He still lives at my parents and has been trying to find a place for the past 3 years. Even if we have to cover part of the rent, it'd be able to let us find a different place. We just can't afford two full blown rents....thanks for the idea :)
