My FI and I are getting married this October and I have been designing the invitations, rsvps, directions, etc... (I'm a graphic designer) and I've been really working hard on them.
Well we received an invitation for the wedding of one of his law school buddies which is in August. They were great except the text was so small and such a fine serifed font that it was hard to read and there was no RSVP card. My FI called him and his buddy told him they didn't do RSVP cards because, 'no one actually sends them back anyways,'..... No one sends them back?! They don't even mention a wedding website to rsvp at. They are just expecting people to call to rsvp but that just seems rather unorganized to me with different people calling the bride, the MOB, MOG the groom, etc...
Long story short (sorry) is this normal or becoming a trend in sending wedding invitations? I mean if you aren't going to have guests mail an rsvp card back I would think the wedding website route would be great...
Any thoughts?
