Well, the holidays are approaching and although I'm broke and can't go home, this is still the most wonderful time of the year, for me!  Here's a lil' poll to spread the holiday cheer!

    Here are my answers...

    1.  What's your favorite holiday movie?
     A Christmas Story "You'll shoot your eye out!"

    2.  What's your favorite holiday song?
    This Christmas by Donny Hathaway

    3.  What's your family's holiday tradition?
    Riding around the neighborhood and looking at the Christmas lights

    4.  If you are exchanging gifts for the holidays, how many people do you have to shop for this year?  What are you getting them (I'm looking for ideas)?

    5 people:  my dad:  a digital photo album, FI:???, mom: Pandora charm, grandma:  sterling silver jewelry set, boss: something from bath and body works.  I also bought FI's aunt a book, just because I ran across and knew she would like it.  I may get FI's mom something.  She said she likes the Carol's Daughter hair care line, so may get her a gift basket.

    5.  What are you hoping to receive as a gift for the holidays?
    I really, really want money for Christmas.  I also want a new cd player for my car that plays mp3s directly from a flashdrive

    6.  What are your plans for the holidays?
    Just spending a quiet holiday at home with the FI

    7.  How old were you when you found out that Santa Claus wasn't real?  Who told you?
    I was 7.  I'll never forget.   This damn girl named Angel Jackson told me.  I was so crushed.  I didn't want to believe her at first, but on Christmas Eve I caught my parents putting the gifts under the tree

    3.  What's your family's holiday tradition? GOING TO MY UNCLES HOUSE, EAT AND LAUGH!

MOMMY, SISTERS, NEPHEW, FI, AUNT, BEST FRIENDS.  I GOT MY MOTHER A GOLD AND RUBY CROSS AND SHE LOVES PERFUME...I NEED TO GET HER A NEW SCENT, MY SISTERS ARE SO PICKY JUST MONEY, MY NEPHEW WILL BE 2 IN JANUARY SO HE'S GETTING EDUCATIONAL TOYS...HE LOVES BOOKS!, FI....IDK HE DOESN'T NEED ANYTHING, MY AUNT LOVES BATH & BODY WORKS, MY BEST FRIENDS.....IDK!

    Fried Turkey and going to that one Auntie's house

    Mom - artwork, Dad - giftcard, Sister - giftcard, nephew - $ for savings, FI - clothing working on his wardrobe lol

    Christmas in New Orleans with the family.  New Yearsin  Dallas to spend time with my fav cousin who could not make it to the NO

    7.  How old were you when you found out that Santa Claus wasn't real?  Who told you? If i had to guess it was early on my too grown cousin probally told me, that was confirmed when i snooped and found unwrapped gifts.

    2.  What's your favorite holiday song? SILENT NIGHT BY THE TEMPTATIONS AND 69 BOYZ WHAT YA GOING GET FOR CHRISTMAS (LOL! I DON'T REMEMBER THE TITLE REALLY)

    3.  What's your family's holiday tradition? TO OPEN GIFTS IN THE MORNING. THEN WE GO TO BREAKFAST WITH THE ENTIRE FAMILY (COUSINS, GRANDMOTHER, AUNTS AND UNCLES). THEN WE JUST GO BACK TO THE HOUSE AND RELAX AND PLAY WITH ANY GIFTS THAT WE GET.

I SHOPPED FOR THE SAME PEOPLE JUST ABOUT EVERY YEAR.(MY SISTER, MY BROTHER, MY MOMMY AND DADDY, MY HONEY BUN AND HIS MOTHER) MY BABY SISTER IS GOING TO COLLEGE (**TEAR**) AND I DECIDED TO GET HER THINGS THAT SHE WOULD NEED FOR THE DORM LIFE! I GOT MY FMIL A COMPLETE BATHROOM SET AND TOWELS, AND SOME PERFUME.THE OTHERS ARE JUST TO MUCH TO LIST! LOL!

    MY ENGAGEMENT RING!!! A CAMERA AND A DB PURSE!

    1.  What's your favorite holiday movie? Claus


    2.  What's your favorite holiday song? 69 Boyz Ghetto Days of X-mas, and I dont remember the title but Bonquisha his truck broke down when he was going to get your Xmas gift

    3.  What's your family's holiday tradition?  Take the kids to Cracker Barrel, then we spend the afternoon at my in-laws house


    4.  If you are exchanging gifts for the holidays, how many people do you have to shop for this year?  What are you getting them (I'm looking for ideas)? I bought fi a IPOD TOUCH and I am getting him a new Smoker Grill, my stepdaughter a Ninento DSI and a pair of Coach tennis shoes, my lil sis a pair of Coach Tennis Shoes, my mom $200 for her to purchase her gun for work, my stepdad maybe an IPOD Touch( I got the hook up on those.lol), Mother in law( we went half on her a 32in flat screen with home theatre), sis in law ( Macy's gift card), sis n law kids( all four gift cards to their fav stores, God sons all four Clothes


    5.  What are you hoping to receive as a gift for the holidays? A Nikon Touchscreen Digital camera, a new Coach purse, some perfume, and MONEY


    6.  What are your plans for the holidays? We spent Thanksgiving with my family, so Xmas will be spent with his family


    7.  How old were you when you found out that Santa Claus wasn't real?  Who told you? I was 10, my cousin told me, because he mom decided to change religions to Jehovah Witness because she didnt want to have to buy her kids Xmas gifts, which is a dumb reason to change religions(BTW she is now non-denominational), and she told them there wasnt a Santa and on Xmas he came to our grandmas house and told me while I was opening up presents, then my mama told me it was true.

    Running in my moms room and making her open her gifts. Even though I dont live there, I still go over every christmas morning and jump on her bed. 

    4.  If you are exchanging gifts for the holidays, how many people do you have to shop for this year?  What are you getting them (I'm looking for ideas)?

    With the wedding coming in june, I got off the hook from most people this year. So my mom, uggs. My step daughters, ipod and a new cell phone. My god son will get clothes and some more toys. Its his first christmas. He'll be happy with just the wrapping paper. lol Fi's bday is the 17th. So he opted to go to DC and blow some dough on partying rather than get a gift. He doesnt know but I upgraded our hotel room, I invited his brother who lives down there to hang out with us and I few a surprises that I cant discuss on the board, for him. Wink

    5.  What are you hoping to receive as a gift for the holidays?

    A new digital camera. Mines died and I miss it so much. I love taking pictures.

    6.  What are your plans for the holidays?

    We're going to hit my aunts house early and then Fi's sisters later that night. They are the partiers and we"ll be able to relax some since she only lives a few blocks away.

    7.  How old were you when you found out that Santa Claus wasn't real?  Who told you?

    I dont know what age. But my uncle said that "no white man is coming to the hood, we dont have a chimeny, and your nana has a gun for trepassers"  Its funny now, but I was devastated then.

    1.  What's your favorite holiday movie? I love all of the claymation Christmas movies. I think I could watch those in July and I'd be as happy as a kid in a candy store.

    2.  What's your favorite holiday song? The Christmas Song by Nat King Cole and Silent Night by The Temptations.

    3.  What's your family's holiday tradition? Staying up until midnight and opening gifts.

    4.  If you are exchanging gifts for the holidays, how many people do you have to shop for this year?  What are you getting them (I'm looking for ideas)? FI (probably cuff links with his fraternity coat of arms on them), sister, mom, dad (Omega Psi Phi hoodie), grandmother, stepmom (Zeta Phi Beta afghan), stepsisters (Coach wristlets), stepbrother, and FILs

    5.  What are you hoping to receive as a gift for the holidays? The Top Chef Quickfire cookbook, a jewelry box, a DSLR camera (I'm not going to hold my breath on that one)

    6.  What are your plans for the holidays? Going home and spending time with my family and then hopefully meeting one of the girls from my wedding club board.

    7.  How old were you when you found out that Santa Claus wasn't real?  Who told you? I don't remember how old I was, but I know I was getting up to use the bathroom and I literally ran in to my dad carrying gifts to the living room.

    1.  What's your favorite holiday movie? It's a tie between Home Alone and A Christmas Story. But I've seen (and actually sat through watching) Home Alone more.

    2.  What's your favorite holiday song? This Christmas (Donny Hathaway's version, the original one)

    3.  What's your family's holiday tradition? My dad always stick money envelopes in different parts of the tree. Then every year he says he was too broke to buy gifts and we're supposed to act surprised when we find the envelopes... lol.

    4.  If you are exchanging gifts for the holidays, how many people do you have to shop for this year?  What are you getting them (I'm looking for ideas)? All the siblings (both FI and mine) pooled for a Santa grab bag. I got my sister's name so I'm getting her what she wants as a broke college student, a gift card...lol (I'm not cheap, it's what she seriously wants).

    5.  What are you hoping to receive as a gift for the holidays? Nothing really. Just money I guess.

    6.  What are your plans for the holidays? I'm working Christmas week through New Years... Frown

    7.  How old were you when you found out that Santa Claus wasn't real?  Who told you? Don't remember... I've always remembered seeing my mom wrapping gifts the night before... lol.

    3.What's Your Family's Holiday Tradition- My Mom makes Lobster Bisque and we eat that after we goto the candlelight service at Church -Yummy!
    4. If you are exchanging gifts for the holidays, how many people do you have to shop for this year?- 17 people
    5.What are you hoping to receive as a gift for the holidays?- I asked FI for a new digital camera
    6. What are your plans for the holidays? They keep changing but I'm hoping for a quiet Christmas at home with just me and FI, enjoying our new house.
    7.     How old were you when you found out Santa wasn't real?-I was 7. We had a ton of people over and I was sleeping on an air matress on my parents floor and my Dad tripped over me and dropped all the stockings on me. That's when I knew.

    3.  What's your family's holiday tradition? Everyone has a special ornament that represents them on the tree.

    4.  If you are exchanging gifts for the holidays, how many people do you have to shop for this year?  What are you getting them (I'm looking for ideas)?   I am shopping about 10 people.  I have secured a few gifts already but I am getting DH a Playstation 2.

    5.  What are you hoping to receive as a gift for the holidays?  A Mother's Ring, A Snuggie and Dooney Handbag

    6.  What are your plans for the holidays? Enjoy my family.

    7.  How old were you when you found out that Santa Claus wasn't real?  Who told you? I dont remember how old I was but I remember that my hateful cousins told me and my momma beat their behinds.
