The current plan is: wedding: 06.30, RSVP date 05.30.. but we are still waiting to hear back from the caterer on a date he needs a final number by.

Ok so we are all on the same track. My wedding is June 30th and our response date is June 1. We need to have our final numbers the Monday before (June 25th).

April 1 - Mailing
May 1 - RSVP date
May 22 - Head count due
June 1 - Wedding

Our RSVP is May 29th

Our wedding is smaller is size like 45 - 50 people - all immediate family - that we talk to on a regular basis. Our final headcount isn't due until June 13th so we figured May 29th was good for us.

Yikes. Now I am nervous I didn't give us enough time.

Our wedding daye is June 9th
I have all of my invites done and I put an RSVP date of May 21st.

Final count is needed by June 1st so I though that would be okay and I would have a week to contact people that were MIA on the responses.

Is this bad?

You'll be fine, you may just have less time to make the calls.<div>

I saw posts about brides wanting to call the day after the RSVP deadline, but others posted that their experience had been that guests wait until the RSVP date to drop them in the mail. That may mean you're still receiving them a week after.</div><div>
Anyway, you still have two and half weeks to allow for late arrivals and to make phone calls.</div>

I think it should be fine - we are doing an 18 day notice not a month and I'm not worried. It will just mean having to contact those who did not respond in a quicker manner.
