Let me say, this might not be a big deal for some, but it's a pretty big deal to me. Friday turned into a sh!t show of a day. There were 4 things that went really wrong and FI did his best to console me through them, but it still feels good to air it to ya'll.
1. I live about an 1-1 1/2hrs from Tampa. My MOH and I finished up shopping and I left her BF's place at 4pm. I know what it's like driving in rush hour traffic, but this was bananas! I didn't get home until 7:30pm!! I was so over it, I kept waiting to pass the accident that was holding us up and there was none. People just had their heads up their butts and freaked out because it was sprinkling.
2. While on the way home I thought I would surprise my dad and kill rush hour traffic time with him. I call him and this is the conversation we had, almost verbatim:
me: I'm in town and want to come see you.
that's not a good idea right now.
me: why?
because I'm busy
me: what?
I'm busy, you can't come by
me: seriously? not even for a minute to say hi? I haven't seen you in over a month. I want to see you.
well I'm busy, you can't come by
me: seriously, dad?
and I'm not at the dealership right now
me: what? why?
because I'm not.
me: why?? It's a Friday and end of the month, you should be there
I'm at my shop right now and we made some changes at the dealership
me: changes? like what?
just changes
me: WHAT TYPE OF CHANGES????
like I'm no longer at the dealership changes.
me: why?
well, you can only argue with the man that signs your paychecks for so long before he decides he doesn't want to sign them anymore. And I left.
me: you did what???????
I can't let someone control my own destiny any more and I left. I feel like the timing couldn't be better. You can come by the shop if you want.
me: I'm going to have to pass. I'll talk to you later
CN: My dad quit his job, won't be coming to my wedding- he has no job and won't be able to pull a plane ticket out of his butt. Owes my mom $4,000 (and climbing) HAS NO JOB!!! won't tell my mom and stepdad because he know's he screwed up. AND HAS NO JOB, INSURANCE, RETIREMENT PLAN, OR SAVINGS IN THE MIDDLE OF A RECESSION!!!!!!
