Did you/do you plan to have a stylist come to the hotel to do hair?

I'd love to know if anyone found a stylist (or several stylists) who were willing to come to your hotel to do your hair or the wedding party's hair. I'm guessing that it might be really expensive, but if it's not, it's something that I'd love to look into. Any ideas, recommendations, or experiences?

I booked Smart and Chic, which I heard about from a bunch of different brides on the board.  Their prices are pretty close to what you would pay in a salon, and they come to your hotel room.. They are also SUPER flexible and have been great to work with so far!  I'm paying around $160 for hair, makeup, airbrush, and fake lashes.

Smart & Chic came out for my/my/his mom's makeup, and I had my regular stylist (Kim Hart from Cole's Cedarcliff) come to do my/my FG's hair.

I am using Julie and Amber from Smart and Chic.  They are coming to my hotel room this Saturday OMG but anyway their prices are good.  Julie is doing my MOH , me and my FG and Amber is doing my bridesmaids and personal attendent.

I booked Smart & Chic and they did an incredible job...but if I had to do it again, it is the one thing about my wedding I would do differently.

This is just something to think about--everyone's wedding day is different!  It didn't occur to me that having a stylist come to me meant there would be 1 stylist for me and my three bridesmaids.  We had to be at the hotel at 8:15am, which made for a really early start to the wedding day (my pictures began at 12:15).  If we had gone to a salon, we could have had 4 separate stylists and had a much later appointment.

That's just something to consider when making the decision!

Of those that come to you though, Smart & Chic does a great job!

</div><div>Ditto this - we took a hybrid approach.  All 5 BMs/moms went to the salon and got their hair done, then the FG and I had ours done at the hotel afterwards.  Another way to get 'er done.

We are having smart and chic come and do 5 bridesmaids, a flowergirl, and my mom's hair, and of course, my hair.  We are going to have some breakfast catered in and mimosas and make a morning of it.  I was planning on spending some alone time with my mom, sister, and dad before the ceremony and this gives us some time.

That's really helpful. I was thinking about having some sort of brunch/getting ready deal at the hotel, since all the BMs are from OOT and are staying there with me. I was hoping to find a lower price than the $55 listed on the website for a BM, but it might be tricky to find any ohter service that will come to the hotel!

We are using Smart & Chic also -- we have me, my mom, his mom, my sister, his sister, and 2 other BMs getting services done (most both hair & make-up, his mom just make-up) and they are sending 3 artists/stylists to us at our location for the big day!  They are starting on us at 1 pm and will be done at 4 pm -- this was HUGE for us, and I'm so happy they are able to send that many talented hands to get us all done in a short amount of time!
Oh, and our ceremony starts at 7 pm, pictures are starting around 4:15 -- so we have all morning to do what we need to without the worry of sweating our make-up off or having our hair fall out.
I would ask S&C if this is an option for you too...perhaps it depends on if they have any others booked for that same day too, but IDK.  HTH!

Ditto Smart & Chic! They'll send more than one stylist if you request it, and depending on the amount of people getting beautified.

I just booked Smart and Chic, too. I spoke to Anita and she was super helpful. We're having them come to the hotel to do 7-10 people, and she said if it's 7 people they'll send 2 stylists, if not 3, and any more than that they'll send 3 for sure.

Also, I don't think you'll get a much better price for a professional updo (or down-do) than $55 (for a BM). That's actually some of the lowest I found.

    Good luck!

My stylist is also coming to my hotel to do my hair and make-up and I'm having a separate stylist come to do 5 bridesmaids. I figure it's easier for two people to come to us than have 7 people go to them! I'm using Theo from Denny Kemp Salon (he's my usual stylist) and a friend for the bridesmaid's hair. Theo is $200 for hair/make-up for me and my friend is charging $50 per up-do.
