Inexpensive Wedding Dresses

Hello Ladies!

I am recently engaged and am looking places to purchase an inexpensive wedding dress or two. I know there are several companies based out of China, but I am very concerned with the potential end result. Any suggesstions would be appreciated!

Thanks!

  • None of the ladies on this board will recommend ordering from a knockoff site out of China!

For inexpensive wedding dresses, try David's Bridal, Alfred Angelo, sample sales (I got my gown for $99 at a sample sale), J Crew, stores like Ann Taylor, White House Black Market, and The Limited, and department stores.  Don't rule out the possibility of purchasing a very simple dress and adding embellishments to it, which may save you money, give you a personal touch, and help keep your look more timeless.  There are also classified ads here on The Knot and several reputable sites for pre-owned dresses which you'll find mentioned if you search the board.
Whoever said it was supposed to be happily ever after is a big fat liar.
  • Look back at previous posts, someone just put a link to Lord & Taylor for their wedding dresses starting at $99, and they were really pretty

  • I got my dress from http://preownedweddingdresses.com
As long as you don't care about the "preowned" factor... which I really didn't.

I got my dress (orig. $3,000 Pronovias) for $850!!

  • You're in Dallas! Go  to this consignment store: http://www.ayresale.com/

They have lots of dresses from all the brands. I went in after I bought my dress and they had some really nice stuff! I actually have my dress there now on consignment.
