I'm celebrating my last Friday as an unemployed person with reruns of "Daria", and tonight, with some drinks and friends and a homemade lasagna.
FI and his best friend invented this drink last week and it's now our "house drink". It's called the Double Tap, named after the signature kill in the movie Zombieland (which they were watching when they invented the drink).
DOUBLE TAP
(makes 1-2 servings)
1 oz peach schnapps
1/2 oz amaretto
1/2 oz triple sec
1 cup OJ
1 tsp grenadine
1 cup ice
Red food coloring
Combine all ingredients and 2 drop of red food coloring in a blender. Blend until smooth. It should have a pleasant peach color. Garnish with two drops of red food coloring to look like bullet holes, then stir once with a straw to create a swirly pattern.
It's delicious. It's got the fruity taste from the grenadine, peach and OJ, a little bit of a kick from the triple sec and a nutty aftertaste thanks to the amaretto.
Ok your turn! Share some great drink recipes! Preferrably one that you've made up yourself! ;-)

Re: It's Friday! Let's Get Wasted!
Cde, awesome.
Bella, your drink sounds amaze.
Here's the drink my BF wooed me with over two years ago. We still joke about it. It is NOT classy, but it is ridiculously delicious. Or maybe it's only ridiculously delicious if you're not classy. THE WINE COCKTAIL - Fill pint glass or equivalent at least half-way with ice - Fill pint glass or equivalent with Franzia "Refreshing White" boxed wine (I told you, classy), or other white wine - Add 1-2 slices of lemon Yup, that's it. It's the BF's special concoction, and after two you're feeling pretty damn good.

Have you tried the Archer Farms (aka Target) brand of boxed white Sangria? I bet it would fantastic served that way.
ETA: Typing 'chocolate wasted' in to Google images provides some interesting results.
In Response to Re: It's Friday! Let's Get Wasted! : Ooooh, no! But I love sangria and Target-brand anything, so I definitely will. I never hear the end of it when friends open our fridge to find boxed wine...until they try wine cocktails. :)

Psssh. I've found that the people who criticize boxed wine are generally the least likely to recognize that it's low-quality if you serve them a glass without telling them.
I <3 this thread. Ladies night tonight, and I'm totally going to let loose and drink my fair share. It has just been that kind of week. Here's what I'm concocting tonight: -Whipped cream vodka -Amaretto -Diet cream soda It is so yummy. Tastes very similar to an ice cream float! In fact, maybe I should pick up some diet root beer too. Yummy.

Try diet rootbeer with chocolate vodka. You will like.
I'm not contributing anything to this thread other than commenting on others' posts. Awesome.

<div>Cackle, that sounds DEELISH. I've never had whipped cream flavored vodka, what brand is it? </div><div>
</div><div>Also, you know what would be awesome on top? Some of that alcohol-laced whipped cream. They sell them in liquor stores in a few flavors. I don't know if you have a Bottle King by you (or is that a Jersey thing?) but that's where I found it. I've never had an excuse to buy it before. But I might have to, and try your drink! </div></div>
Or, if you're in a shot mood....peppermint patties: coat your mouth with a crap ton of chocolate syrup [tastes best when squirted straight from the Hershey's syrup bottle into your mouth

Try making the opposite (vodka-infused whipped cream) by combining heavy cream, sugar (however much/little you want) and the flavored vodka of your choice (I like vanilla). Whip until stiff (that's what she said) and refrigerate any leftovers. It's amazing with hot chocolate.
For a hot drink, may I recommend hot chocolate + chambord? Mmmmm
Posted by mookow86
<div>
</div><div>I like hot chocolate with a shot of caramel-flavored Bailey's!
</div>
Pinnacle Whipped Cream Vodka
Orange Soda
Taste like a creamsicle. So. Very. Good.

*Snort*
You got me back!
Ooh, I also want to try the whipped cream vodka. I've heard great things. <strong>Also heard that if you add that to orange soda or diet orange soda it tastes like a creamsicle</strong>? If we're moving onto shots, my most favorite is Patron Cafe (coffee flavored tequila, hell yeah) with a floater of Baileys. I can't even describe the deliciousness.

Yes, or root beer for a root beer float. Or hot chocolate.
yum.

</div><div>Bottle King is a Jersey thing, apparently. I just looked it up. You can see their locations online - bottleking.com </div>
For a refreshing drink, try this -
Absolut Wild Tea (Absolut Boston is better if you can find it!)
Arizona Arnold Palmer
splash gingerale
over a lot of ice
garnish with lime wheel

Every time BF and I go to the packie we say "Oh we'll have to get this next time", and we still haven't yet. I'm dying to try it.
This new thing I've been seeing around is Skittle-infused vodka. You seperate the skittles into their seperate colors and do some chemistry experiment to make pretty colored skittle flavored vodka. It actually seems pretty simple:
Ooh, ooh ooh! Want one that will knock you on your butt? JOHN DALY - Ice - Half Mike's Hard Lemonade - Half Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka Yeah, you're supposed to make this with lemonade, iced tea, and vodka, but let's just cut to the chase and do it the right way. BF and I made these on our last trip to Charleston, when we went to the Firefly distillery. Mmmmm.

First, this sounds delicious. Second, I find the name very amusing.
