Wedding Cake in WNC

I am currently in search for someone to do our cake. We met with someone last week and she quoted us for $1330.....just wondering if that's the norm??? Does anyone have any suggestions for a baker in or around the Asheville area?? Our cake budget is between $500 and $1000.

    I know it sounds crazy doesn't it. We told her between 150 and 200 guests.

    Hi there!  I'm getting married in May in Asheville and I thought I would try and help you out!  We found a recommended baker who is doing our cake for $550 for about 120 guests.  Her name is Michelle Fountain and she owns Icing on the Cake.  I've included her website if you want to check out her work.  She runs her business from her home just an FYI.  The tasting we did was delicious and I thought her price was great compared to others I looked at!  Hope this helps!

    What design are you looking for?

    I was quoted a little more than that for a brushed fondant cake for 150ish people. 

    A buttercream cake should be much less expensive.
