What should I do with my hair? PIP and POLL!

I am having a really hard time deciding on what to do with my hair for the wedding. I know Joe might prefer it down but he told me he would be happy seeing it any way. So maybe because I play with my hair having it up might be best so I dont ruin it, but I also really like the look of it down - so then maybe half up or a side pony would be best???

I have had three dress fittings and did my hair differently for each one - up, down, and side pony. These are all just my drafts and would look much more polished if done by a professions - I just wanted to get an idea.

Here are the pics and I would love to know what you girls think (trying to keep in mind just my hair and not the quality of the pic :)).

UP - some sort of back curly bun

Note: I no longer have straight across bangs - I have the side sweep now.

DOWN - and curly...more curls than here likely

This is the most recent pic where you can see my side swept bangs.

SIDE PONY - and again curly

This is the oldest pic so my hair is a bit longer now.

Let me know what you think!
TIA!

I think I like all down the best!! (maybe because that's how I perfer my hair anyways... lol) The side pony is a close second, though.

Up! Up! I think the down is beautiful, too. However, I don't know if you're anything like me, but I plan to be on the dance floor quite a bit. I really don't want sweaty mucky-muck hair flying all over the place. :)

Also, my hair doesn't stay curled or keep any sort of volume if it's not held in place, so I know I wouldn't be happy with it by the end of the night, or even probably a couple hours in!

Yeah Debbie - I will def be dancing so that is a worry. I would guess if it ends up down that I would pin it up before dancing. I am pretty good with hair so I could just grab some bobby pins and pin away but it wouldn't look as nice as if I just started out with it up.

Ah! Well that's a pretty good fix, then. I'm horrible with hair, so I would have to grab someone to do that for me (not that it would be difficult with a hair stylist for a SIL!). It probably won't matter to you that it looks quite as nice as if it had been styled up to begin with -- you'll be married and just ready to have fun - plus it'll still be really cute AND you'll have the benefit of a "varied" look for the dance!

I really like it up! :) My second choice would be the side pony.

I think down flatters your face the best... but up shows off the fact that you have really nice shoulders. I voted side-pony because it manages to do both.

I think the side pony is super cute. But, since you're good with hair, it might be a good idea to have it down then put it up or into the pony later, Then you'll have pics of yourself both ways.

So I didn't vote because I couldn't decide. All three look fabulous, it just depends on what style you like best and what you think will be most practical. BUT, I am a big fan of the up and half up styles because that's what I think is easiest to deal with throughout the day AND you definitely need to show off your super cute earrings! Does one of them work best with your veil?

Up or down, but not side.  :)  I'm a child of the 80s and I internally cringe when I see that kind of look coming back because it transports me to that lovely akward pre-teen phase of my life!  Tongue out  In all seriousness though, I danced like a crazy fool at my wedding and got HOT.  I would have been going nuts if my hair was on my neck.

I like it down, but up would be more practical.  Are you doing outside pictures?  Wind-swept hair is really only pretty while the wind is sweeping it.  Once you go inside, all that hairspray will hold your hair in a mess.

I voted up as I think that style is just beautiful with your dress and accessories.....looks polished and elegant!  The others are pretty as well, but up stood out IMO!

Yeah Heather we do want to do outside pics weather permitting and I actually want it to be windy so we can get the windblown veil pic so maybe that is something to think about.

I think I will have to have Julie do mult styles at my trial to try to figure it out but you ladies may have me leaning towards up now... It would prolly be good to see the with a veil too.

My photog, callie, got married last weekend and had a really pretty loose low updo where it was resting on her back. It's the prettiest updo I have ever seen and wish I saw it before my wedding :) I loved my hair though and think the style looks better on brunettes anyway. I'll get a pic and post it for you!

Jessica - that would be great! I actually think something up and loose is prolly the direction I am going so I would LOVE to see pics!

Here are some that are very similiar to hers but her hair was twisted on the sides as well, which was really pretty. She is going to post her pics on here when she gets them so watch for them :)

Love the first one! So sophisticated and elegant! I think it has the best chance of staying pristine throughout the event, too.

I like the first two the best of the three!  All very pretty!

But if you want a cross between the two, check out my bio under the hair and makeup tab, the first 3 pics/same style, I'm in love with and think it gives you the best of both worlds!  I can't wait to get a trial done of it!

I voted for up.  It looks the most polished and will be most comfortable at the end of the night.  It shows off your shoulders and jewelry much better, too.

I'm going to have to wear mine down to cover my tattoo.  Grrr.

Bah, I'm late to this conversation, too. I fail as a knottie lately.

Anyway. What about half-up?  That's what I'm planning on. FI really wants me to have my hair down, but I don't want it all in my face all day.  I might throw the rest up into the ponytail after pictures, too?

I have some half-up/half-down and loose "down dos" in my bio too.
