Snarky Brides

Randoms

Hi ladies.  How are you?  I'm pretty good.

I found out I have completely lost track of time during finals.

I also have a twitch in my right eye ball right now.  I find it irksome.

What random things are going on in your life, right now?

I can appreciate that kind of efficiency, for sure.

  • This place is slow as heeeeelllllllll today.  Thanks for posting this.  I was just about to come post a "where is everyone?!" thread but this will be more fun.

I really want to go play on the gigantic pile of snow in my yard.  REALLY bad.

My Christmas tree has a bare spot that we didn't notice when we picked it because they had just come from the grower and it was so cold that they were all closed up still.  I'm kind of sad.

I tried my best. Most were just thank yous. I had to do it on my computer because it would have taken way too long on my phone.
  • Happy birthday, Dodgers :)

    I'm eating free lunch.

Thank you. I get a free lunch today too. It's our holiday lunch and my birthday so I scored.
  • Happy birthday Dodgers!

I wish we had a huge pile of snow. It's barely snowed here yet, and I want it to come now instead of a week from now when I'm going to be in a plane.

Night, that eye twitch sounds annoying! I get those when I read/write/stay up studying and stressing too much. I bet you can't wait for the end!

Bundle up, and then have at it.  If you make a dirty snowperson I want pictures.

Tell me more about this tree phenomenon.  They close up?

  • I think I'm going to have to tell FI that he has to pick up the Christmas tree by himself this year. He wants to do it together, but I leave town tomorrow and won't be back until right before Christmas, and I just have way too much to do today to even think of tree shopping.

  • It's been pretty hot here so I can't complain about the weather. We rented a house in Big Bear in January for my mom's birthday so I am ready for a little snow.

Did anyone see that news report about a bus driver running over a snow man on a college campus in Illinois?

It's -10.  I just can't do it.  Maybe if I had snowpants.  Note to self:  Invest in snowpants.

Well, they're shipped from the growers all wrapped up with the branches kind of folded up.  And apparently, when they're really cold, they don't really open back up fully when they're unwrapped.

  • I just ate a blue raspberry Dum-Dum and now my whole mouth is blue.

I can't wait for Saturday for my grandma's Christmas celebration.

I brought in a sh!tton of candy for my co-workers all month and instead of saying thank you, all they did was bitch about wanting more or a different kind. I'm done being nice.
  • Happy Birthday, Dodgers!

I have nothing random today, but you guys' randomness is cheering me up!  I like playing in snow, J.  Go for it!

  • Beatles and Cranberry- Thank you.

FI surprised me with getting me the day off yesterday since today is my holiday party and I couldn't take it off.

  • -10! That's it, Anna and J&K need to move out here. We have snow that you can walk around in. :)

  • I'm glad it's Tuesday. After the hellish day I had yesterday, I am glad I have today off(the doors at work being frozen shut, and then breaking; having a shoplifter steal dvds while being dressed as a woman- apparently he has been arrested before while dressed as a woman and then went to court as a man to screw with people's heads- and having to call the cops and look through video footage; being one person short for closing, leaving me, one guy and a pregnant woman to do all the hard work; all of this while the Store Manager is on vacation, so I, as ASM, have to deal with it).

On the upside, I did get FI's Christmas gift yesterday, so it wasn't a total loss.

  • More randoms:

We didn't get any good blizzard parts, just the ice parts.  I wanted fluffy crunchy snow.  No such luck.

I am supposed to hear back about my phone interview this week. Some part of my inner crazy is already screaming. "They hate you.  You're never going to get a job!  It's already Tuesday at noon!"  Clearly my crazy needs to shut up.

I considered cutting off a couple wayward branches from the bottom backside of the tree and arranging them in there.  But then they'd die.  Then I figured I'd put a heavy ornament there to pull the branches down a little bit.  I don't have one heavy enough.  A surprise stuffed animal might be a good solution, lol!  Maybe a bird, of some sort.  Then at least it looks like it belongs in a tree.

  • I'm actually enjoying training our new secretary. I personally know her and chose her, so that makes a difference.

We just received our annual peppermint bark from a company we do business with. I want to eat it for lunch. I love this stuff!

Find somewhere to shove a cardinal in your tree every year.  Voila!  New tradition.

  • The first guy I spoke to at the post office said that normal postage was sufficient for my invitations -- so, $0.44 for US-bound invitations and $0.75 for Canadian-bound invitations. (Score!) I decided to pair Kings and Queens of Hearts stamps on the Canadian-bound invitations since the gold accent color perfectly matches my envelopes and these guys are really cute when they are gazing adoringly at each other:

Then the second guy at the post office (I decided to double check when I went to drop them off, because I'm anal like that...) informed me that I needed extra postage since the invitations weighed slightly more than ounce each.

I'm glad I checked, but I'm super annoyed that the three stamps on each each of my Canadian-bound invitations now appear to be engaged in threesomes.  :(

  • Happy Birthday, Dodgers.

I have no idea when I will be able to use my back door again because we have at least 3 feet of snow shoved up against it from the storm.

J&K- I was glad to see in another thread that you had a good anniversary trip up here. I was thinking about you on Saturday, and hoping you guys were able to still have a good time. How did you like the comedy club at MOA?
