Average Cost of Videographer

I love my photographer, Sweetwater Portraits, but I'm spending a lot on her so I don't want to spend too much on a videographer. Photography is really important to us, but we want a videographer b/c we don't want to regret not having one. My photographer recommended Well Spun Weddings for my videographer because they are nonintrusive. I gasped when I saw that the cost of wedding day coverage in HD is $1600 & a one song film (three minutes!!!) is $695. Am I being naive? What do you think is the average cost of a videographer in philly? Is Well Spun any good?

    www.rosetreefilms.com does an incredible job.  David was so easy to work with.  He has a menu of services starting at $1,000.00 fo rhis least expensive package.  They're worth looking into.  Never heard of Well Spun - sorry.

    I chose Martins accent Video  and their packages start at $895.

    I will ditto PP. I used Martin's since I splurged on my photographer. They were great and I am SO happy!

    I am using Martin's because it is something I want but not something I want to spend a ton on.

    I looked into Well Spun - they seem like they do a really good job, I love their style, but I agree with you that the price is a bit too high. I used Branded Productions out of Lansdale and was extremely happy with them. After my venue, probably my favorite vendor. I think my package was just under $2k, which isn't the cheapest, but they do a really good job for the amount. My teaser video is posted a few posts down.

    Thanks girls! I  am using Claire Pruitt for photos and love their work but I thought their video was high almost $2,000 so I took the package without but would love a video so I'll check out the recommendations :)
