I choose 1-2 months. We were sort of dating, but I thought we would only be friends...but wanted to give it a try bc he was the total opposite of what I used to date. Guess it worked. HAHA

Just over 2 years for us. We started dating our freshman year of college. He was my first real boyfriend and we took it pretty slow mostly due to me, but he was supportive the entire time (I was his first). We almost did it while I was studying abroad in Italy and he came to visit (which could have been super romantic in Cinque Terre), but it ended up happening shortly after I returned. We were each others firsts. It seems like so long ago thinking about it now (4 years).

It was our 4th real date...and like 2 weeks after I met him. It was a little quick, but we moved our relationship quick and knew after the first date that this was the big one in terms of relationships.

FI and I casually dated (read: hung out and did a little screwing around) for 6 months before I was fed up and wanted a relationship or nothing. I refused to have sex with him unless we were exclusive. He chose nothing, because he didn't want to keep hurting me but said he wasn't ready for an exclusive relationship. That lasted all of a month, because we were "official" very soon when he wised up, and our first time was about a month after that, so I chose 1-2 months. He was my first.

<div>I don't think I would necessarily change anything (except for maybe going all the way in Italy instead of waiting until we returned to boring IL). I know that it's what worked for me at that time. If I were to (heaven forbid) starting dating someone else, sex would happen a whole lot sooner than over 2 years. </div>

I voted 1 to 2 months. We had been hanging out as friends casually dating for about a month before we decided to become 'official' and yes we discussed the change and decided to try it. Our first date as an OFFICIAL couple we had sex in his pickup truck..we couldn't help ourselves I guess. I miss that old truck..it had a bench seat and I always rode next to him and in the new one its got bucket seats so I miss being close in the truck.

I don't mean to take this a direction it doesn't need to go, but I'm curious. How many of you are having a church wedding? Did you get asked that question? If so how did you answer?

FI and I meet on match.com so we talked on the phone for a couple of weeks every night for several hours. I knew before our first date that he was something special so I don't feel so bad that it was after our 4th date. Honestly, I probably would have waited longer, but FI is super sexy and it had already been a while since I had done anything with anyone, that I just couldn't help myself! haha

We are having an actual outdoor ceremony, but the officiant is the pastor of the church my FI grew up in. It was the only thing regarding the ceremony that FI actually requested. We will be required to do some counseling sessions with him in August. I've asked all of the other girls I know who have done counseling sessions like this, and they were specifically asked about this topic. I'm going to turn bright red and die right in my chair when the time comes I think.

</div><div>We're having a Catholic ceremony and this wasn't brought up...yet. Our pre-marital counselling isn't until September, where I'm sure it will come up. Whatever, I'm pretty sure in this day and age it's normal for the majority of couples to live together and umm get busy before marriage. Whatever, to each their own!</div>
