I want to lose inches not necessarily weight

Hi! I am a month and a half away from my wedding and just had my dress fitting. Fortunately no big adjustments had to be done but the top part of my dress fit very very and I mean very snug! I am a thin lady but I admit I could lose an inch or two around my belly/waistline just so I can be comfortable in my dress. I really dont need a diet just some excercise tips on how to minimize my middle section. Do any of you have any tips? :) Thanks!

  • there is no such thing as spot reducing.
If there was, my arms would be SICK looking.
Unfortunately that's not how it works.
You lose fat where your body wants to lose fat.. If that's your mid section, so be it.
Your best bet for belly is going to be cardio that focuses on core work (most cardio... Group classes like step aerobics or just straight running will help)
And some moves to help "tighten" things up if you are already smaller.. like planks are incredibly successful for my body type (but we're all different).
Try things like these to firm up your middle

And for the records, most of us here don't "believe" in dieting, but a healthful, balanced diet is important for long-term health and weight control. :)
  • FYI, your dress will loosen throughout the day of your wedding.  At most fittings you have it on for 30 minuntes tops.  Over the course of your wedding day, it will stretch and loosen, and so being snug is a good thing.
