Thanks Girl!  Hey!  I thought about you the other day, how's it going?!  I was in Babies R Us buying a baby shower gift for a friend of mine and I thought to myself, what did 'Reka say she's having again, oh that's right, a girl!  LOL!  Then I thought I wonder how she's coming along with getting all of her baby needs and if she's come up with a theme for her baby's room.  My friend is having a girl too and they are going with a Pooh Bear theme apparently.  Everything on the registry is Pooh Bear.

What is your friend having?  You're right, I'm having a little girl. We went clothes shopping for her today since it's tax-free weekend and Carter's had a sale on. We're getting a neutral aqua and brown stroller, high chair, swing, and play yard. We're decorating Olivia's room in chocolate brown and pink though. I'm going with a stars and moon crib bedding and decor set. Here's a pic of it.

Oh my goodness!  That is too cute.  Olivia Rose is going to have the most stylish room ever!  I love the color scheme you are going with.  I'm a big fan of the chocolate brown and pink color combo, but then again I love chocolate brown with anything.  I love the fact that you're not going gag me over the top pink by mixing in the brown.  Man, you almost make me want to have a kid now.  LOL.  Her room is going to look so cute.  Oh!  My friend is having a girl too.  Dh and I got her a baby bath and hooded pooh bear towels.  I love those hooded towels.  Too cute.

Thanks!!! I love chocolate brown so much that almost every room in my apt has chocolate brown in it. It's sad really. My livingroom is chocolate brown and cream. My dining room is chocolate brown and red with a coffee shop theme. My bathroom is chocolate brown, with brown damask print, and silver. When I picked out OIlivia's bedding set, DH was like you really like chocolate brown don't you. I think I need to start thinking outside of the box. Last year I bought my friend's baby girl  a hooded pooh towel and bath robe set. It was so cute!

Oh!  And I just read your post about changing your name...Congrats.  The annoying part for me was going to DMV.  Although the wait wasn't as long as I thought, I hated the fact that I had to take off work and that they don't give you your new license the same day anymore.  You have to wait until they send it in the mail.  They give you a temp card.  How stupid is that?!  And there are so many places that you have to change your name with....your bank, your credit cards, your job, your debtors.  It's quite an ordeal.  I'm still going through the process.  But congratulations on taking the first step.

Do you ever check out the Nest or the Bump?

I have to motivate myself to change my name everywhere else. I'm not looking forward to it.

I go to the Bump every now and then, but I don't post. Those ladies are kind of annoying. Some already have their cribs up and the nursery finished. It's still kind of early. Let's be realistic people. Maybe if they had an AA board on the Bump I would go more LOL.

I love the color scheme in your apartment.  You should post pics because I need some decor inspiration.  I go to The Nest from time to time for inspiration, but I'm not too inspired by those chicks.  LOL.  I was hoping that I would see more bios with pics of people's homes for decor tips, but not too many people do that there.  That's what I'm focused on now, how to decorate our house, and really how to get organized.  I am the most unorganized person ever and I hate it.

It's always like that, where your color scheme carries over in every room in your place.  I was actually talking to a friend of mine about that the other day because I have burgundy and chocolate brown in just about every room.  At least you just have chocolate brown.  Our kitchen...well...actually, our kitchen doesn't have chocoloate brown, but it has the burgundy.  We were trying to go with a Tuscan theme so the walls are a golden sunset color and we have like burgundy accents i.e. a shelf above the dining room table with burgundy pottery, window seat with burgundy and goldish tan pillows, burgundy pots and pans.  Our bedroom is all chocolate brown, which I hate...it needs color...I'll probably throw in some burgundy or cranberry colored pillows.  LOL  The guest room is all burgundy.  The living room is tan, chocolate brown, and you guessed it burgundy.  It all started with our area rug.  The area rug has all of those colors in it, and ever since then we've been in a burgundy, chocolate brown, tan rut.  LOL.

I think I'm going to trade in my wedding magazines for home decor magazines.  I'm thinking about going to Barnes and Nobles and checking out some home decor magazines after having brunch with my friend.  Maybe I'll get some good ideas there.

Oh!  And I love that chocolate brown and silver damask print.  Sounds gorgeous.  Oh!  And tell me more about this coffee shop theme in your dining room.  That sounds so cute.  What decor do you have in it that gives off the coffee shop vibe.  Yeah, those chicks on the bump do sound annoying.  I wish they did have a AA Bump and a AA Nest.  I would definately post there.  DH always says to me, you need to move on.  The Knot is over for you, you need to move on to The Nest.  He says the ladies on the Knot are going to say, "Why is Tam Tam still on The Knot, didn't she get married three years ago!"  LOL

You don't want to see pics of my apt right now. We don't have room for all of our wedding gifts, so they're piled in the dining room. And now I have baby stuff in the livingroom. I'm so looking forward to moving in October so we can have a bigger space.

I don't know what it is about burgundy, but my mom loves that color too. Every room in my parents house used to be burgundy and green. Now it's tan and burgundy. I like burgundy though, so it doesn't bother me. Your kitchen and dining room sounds really cute. The wall color sounds fabulous.

I can't wait to move into a house so we can really decorate. That won't be until the end of 2011 or the beginning of 2012 though. It sounds so far away, but I'm so excited about decorating a real house. I don't know if I'll actually paint walls though because I've grown accustomed to the dull, boring, apt wall beige look and really don't mind it.

Tell me about the coffee shop theme in your dining room.  What did you do to incorporate the theme?
