For the record - Verizon has an attachment for smartphones that swipes debit/credit cards. I say make the $30 investment. The return is worth it!

Is this a joke!? Really.. A job could probably help you pay for your honeymoon, though you may break a nail, but Daddy shouldn't want to tarnish such a POWERFUL name in your community, so I suppose just make it public knowledge that he is cutting his little princess off?

I was going to suggest exactly this! It'll go straight into your bank account, and then you can re-use the attachment at other points in your life for which you'd like to charge people. For example, extravagant vow renewals, baby showers, baby's first birthday, etc.

Bonus: you can probably add a little to whatever amount people put down - most people don't check their bank statements too closely so they won't notice.

We had an insert in our invitations that requested cash or checks instead of gifts. If you can't get to the bank, sign them and have a parent deposit them. My parents will be adding up the gift money before we leave and wiring us that much into our account to use for our honeymoon in Greece.
