Wedding Colors

My fiance and HIS groomsmen are wearing navy blue blazers and khakis. I was originally going to have the bridesmaids wear navy but the dress I have chosen (and love!) does not come in that color. however, it does come in a beautiful eggplant color. My fiance thinks the colors will clash. I think they will be beautiful together for a fall (October) wedding. plus, we can always lighten up the look with the flowers. the dresses are also tea length and strapless. Do navy and eggplant work together? If not, what colors would work with navy blazers for fall? I don't want a sea of navy and am not a huge fan of the classic fall colors (i.e. burnt orange).

  • PLEASE STOP SHOUTING.

No, the colors won't clash.  Navy is pretty much a neutral, and anyway blue and purple pretty much always work together.  If you're really concerned about it, go to the hardware store and grab some paint chips in your chosen colors and see how they go together.

This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284

Haha - I didn't mean to shout. Thanks for your advice!
  • I think it will look just fine together for a fall wedding. My friend got married last Sept and her colors were navy and like a plum/deep purplish color. I think it looked just fine together.
