How much are you spending on your invites?

Just give me the bottom line/total and how many guests...thanks! Trying to justify if what I'm about to spend is worth it/normal!!

    ~$200 on the paper/envelopes/shipping/cutting
+ ~$100 on the printer ink (I ordered 2 full replacement sets for a color inkjet printer) & calligraphy ink/calligraphy pens
+ ~$200 for postage (we ordered custom stamps on zazzle that are more expensive than regular stamps)

    That basically includes:
    83 invitations for 150 guests
+200 thank you cards (we made a design we could use after the wedding for personal stationary)
+ extra cardstock for programs + signs

oh, and I spent another $50-60 on the first set of 200 envelopes I had to redo :P

    ~$550 for 150 guests

Yay! Finally able to update my signature :)

It will be about $500 for 100 invitations plus extras for mess ups.

I'm mostly DIYing but I'm very specific. That covers custom rubber stamps, postage, embossing tools, etc.

Hmm... I think the ones we are looking at come out to $3.75 per set, so about $300 for 75 invitations.  We only have about 80 guests, but it was either order 50 or 75 and I'm afraid 50 will be too few.  This includes flat invitation, response card, lined inner envelope, outer envelope with address printed, response card envelope with address printed.  It seems like a lot, but I don't have time or can deal with the effort of DIY-ing it and I like these ones.

I'm also ordering 100 matching thank you cards and that is only like $50 more.

    These are them:

Wow, can't believe how much invitations cost you girls!  I understand invitations are very important to some people.  I've never been one too care too much about it.  I figured I'd save on that since they'd be thrown out anyways and splurge on things like a photobooth and custom floor monogram.

FI and I bought two 50 invitation kit sets at Office Max when they were going out of business for 50% off.  We paid $35 all together.  That came with the invitation, envelope, response card, and envelope for the response card.  We bought printable postcards the same size as the response cards from Walmart for $8 to print the directions and website on.

I just sent them out last week and have gotten compliments that while they were simple they were still very beautiful.  I made sure that the wording on the invitations made up for the simpleness.

Question for you regarding the printable postcards that you bought from Wallmart for $8 to print the directions and website on. Can you send me the link of those. I couldn't find them online.

    Thanks!

We spent about $350 on invitations...  Must have bought 100 as we had 85 invites go out.  Used regular postage and had my mom address them for free.

    $202.5 for 150 invites
    - Custom Design Invite/ bilingual
on Pearl White Metallic Text Paper backed by Panel Metallic Card stock
    -  Includes Metallic Envelopes
    - RSVP Card
    - Metallic RSVP Envelope
    - Custom Monogram
    - Calligraphy addressing invites provided by me

This does not include printing costs as we already have a professional printer available. We didn't include the cost of stamps either since not all our invites will be sent out. In our culture, it is customary to present the invitation in person. Our parents will invite their friends and our relatives with the bilingual invites and we will send out the rest of them.

My invitation paper supplies are from Cards and Pockets.com and Paper and more.com. btw I took advantage of Cards and Pockets promotion.
Etsy has plenty of designers who will provide a pdf file or any type of file for you to use to print invites at home. Customize invite packages start at $45.

$700, 3 pocket fold with closing tag on front, 3 insert cards.  Return addresses printed on rsvp envelopes.

I honestly don't have the time or patience to DIY it, FI and I decided it was worth the money for me not to stress over everyone of them.  :) My mom almost had a heart attack over the cost though.

For the paper, envelopes, ink and miscellaneous supplies (wax seals, belly bands, etc) it will be $225 for 100 invitations, plus place cards, programs, signs and menus.  So for the actual invitations, maybe $2 each plus postage?

I'm using Emerald Invitations in Quincy. They are great and always have promotions with good deals. The people there are really nice and are good at what they do.

I think we're paying about $1.50 per invite which includes rsvp card and two-sided direction insert. And they charge about $1.50 per envelope if you have them print the addresses (which we're doing, as I don't have the time to address them myself).

That said, we got free STDs from them with our invitiation order (which saved us $150).
