the chicken dance and anything with profanity, etc. We don't have a dj either. I think we're going to use Pandora, since there will be a dance floor, but I bet it will be lightly used with all the other stuff going on.
All songs by The Village People, Low by Flo Rida, I kissed a Girl by Katy Perry, Tears in Heaven by Eric Clapton, all songs by Bryan Adams, Electric slide, chicken dance, cha cha slide, macarana, hokey pokey, and Celebrate.
June 2012 May Siggy Challenge: The invitations 126 Are ready to party!
I've so far have no 80's music, no cheesy songs (cotton eye joe, macarena, etc), black eyed peas. I think i'll add no country music and Justin Bieber too.
I have a long list of must-plays and song ideas for the DJ, so he'll get a sense of what we're looking for.

FI is ADAMANT about this song being played. His mom refused to dance to it with him, so I drew the short straw and promised him a dance sometime during the reception to it.
Hey, he hasn't really asked for much, so I figure I can go along with his request.<img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-tongue-out.gif" border="0" alt="Tongue Out" title="Tongue Out" />
Everything I do I do for you, by Bryan Adams. It's the song I danced to with my husband who died...I don't want to be sad that day....I am sure I will add more to it as we go but that one for sure.
Oh god...it's so long: Frank Sinatra, Elvis, anything disco, 80s hair bands, all line dances, anything that has been autotuned within an inch of it's life so pretty much anything from the past 5 years, all country music, all rap hip hop aside from a few songs we selected...

No offense, but you people are crazy. I swear I've seen 10 of my MUST plays already listed in this thread. We are all about the thong song, old time rock and roll, cupid shuffle, RAP?? who doesn't want to dance to hip hop?? SMH
Edit: We put FloRida on our "please play a lot of" list...all his songs make me want to boogie.

Mine is required to play it. But its an inside joke and...well, wouldn't be MY wedding without it. :)
I freaking love line dances. Y'all are nuts. Those are ALL on my must play list.
As far as my do-not play list is concerned: Justin Bieber, Gretchen Wilson, Miley effing Cyrus, "Smack That" - Because I know one of my guests will request that song and I HATE IT.

I was thinking this same thing: PINK,Flo Rida, Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj are all on my playlist :0 It's very interesting to see how different everyone's music tastes are
Not quite done but here's what I got so far... anything country, Nickleback, Kidd Rock, YMCA, Chicken dance, Celebrate, Macarena, and Single Ladies by Beyonce.
Agree, I'm seeing a lot of my "play" songs on here. For do not play, anything with profanity in it. Clean versions are fine as long as they aren't too suggestive. No Justin Beiber or any of those teeny bopper artists. No Adele just because most of her songs are depressing. But I don't care if they play anything else, as long as its not all depressing.
All we put was nothing vulgar, and country music! Other than that the DJ and MC are family friends and know the family... as far as I am concerned it is there job to make a good judgement in music...
Re: What's on your....
Mostly because we're not having a DJ haha
