HP is ruining my life - Printer Help Please!

Hi everyone, this is my first time posting in here. I'm printing my own invites and I keep running into one problem after another...

My current issue is that my HP printer cuts off parts of SOME of the names on my outer envelopes. I printed two that came out perfectly and then the third looks like this:

Now, each name I try to print looks just like this. I've tried messing with margins, line spacing, font size... and I can't seem to figure it out! Has anyone else had a problem like this?

I am also VERY willing at this point to purchase a new printer for my invitations. Has anyone had good luck with printing heavy cardstock cut to small sizes (registry, response cards, etc)? What printer did you use?

  • Click on Format, Paragraph, and then line spacing.

    I realy don't think it's the printer.
  • I've used Canon and HP printers on cardstock and invitations and they've been fine. Most printers can get the job done pretty easily - I wouldn't buy a new printer at this point.

Are you printing from Microsoft Word? Some fonts cause that cutoff to happen because the characters are bigger than the space alotted for them on each line, if that makes sense. Try making them smaller and seeing if that works.

You can highlight that name and then change the spacing to something higher - if you go to spacing options, you should be able to just type in the space you want (rather than just picking single or double spaced). That line will be a different space than the other lines, so hopefully it won't spread your text out too much but will give those characters more space.
  • print preview before you print it, it will show you how it will look. I have a feeling it's a combination of font size and line spacing.
    Praying for a miracle!
