Help Me Avoid Schoolwork :)

Today was much better but I still don't feel like doing any school work. But not enough is going on on E and FB for me to be sufficiently distracted from my work. Help please.

This weekend I have to go pick up the BM dresses. I feel super bad about them. I'm going to buy one of them from the girl that is close to my size because I effing love the BM dress but the other three are itty bitty and I need to sell those.

Re: Help Me Avoid Schoolwork :)

  • How formal are they? Would they fit a 0? or 00? I can ask my cohort at work if they're anything her daughter may be interested in, she's a high school senior and has a hard time finding dresses small enough to fit without special ordering things.

That is, if you're selling them privately.

  • Aryn, I bet you'll be able to sell them easily - there are so many ways to sell clothing nowadays. That's cool you'll end up with one for yourself :)

I need to buy some new jewelry.
  • Have you ever looked at SilverJewelryClub.com or their sister site Peoria.com?

I love their jewelry, it's decent quality for the price.

Actually, yes! I think that there are two size 2s and one 0. Here's the link to the dress. We ordered them in red.

ETA: Yea, I secretly loved the BM dresses more than my own so I'm pretty happy I'll be getting one of them. I have no idea where I'll wear it but it's just too cute!
  • I've never heard of those websites before - I just checked it out, and the jewelry really isn't my style but there are some cool pieces there.

I had to laugh at Peoria.com (it's actually Peora.com) because Peoria is the name of my hometown :)
  • Aryn, those look perfect for twirling :)
  • Hello!

That is such a beautiful dress Aryn. I'm sure you'll be able to easily sell the other ones.

I've been in a bad mood most of the day. On the plus side TK seems to have merged universes.

    Whatever. LOL

I always go to the free site and then link over to the other site.

There hasn't been new jewelry in our house in several years. I'm waiting on the bridal set to be made, so I'm trying to resist buying anything.

I'll ask her tomorrow if they would be interested in one. If you don't mind PMing me the price you're asking.

My friend is almost 50 and still a size 0 (and 5' tall, so she's petite). Both of her daughters cheer very competitively and are extremely petite. Her older one graduates this coming year and hopes to cheer at App and her younger one hopes to compete on a World's team next year, she's in Middle School.

I know far more about cheer than I ever planned to, but her daughters are really into it. I go watch them when they compete locally and go to practice sometimes. Heck, sometimes I drive them if she gets caught in meetings and I don't.

Yes, he designed it and he's having it custom made.

It is either Diamond and Tanzanite or Diamond and Topaz, I don't know which he went with. Hopefully topaz since I have a bad history of breaking jewelry. And, both our bands and the diamond will be made with gold he mined from the North Carolina mountains.

    How sweet is that?

  • Hey all. Waiting for J to come home, just gave Tory her birthday treat. :)

Steffi I answered you again in the other thread, just FYI. :) You can ask questions if you want on this one though since its more active.

Also, I love cheering! I considered doing it in college until I heard they practiced at 5am. Um no thanks.

  • There is no way I'd be ready to practice cheering of all things, at 5am. It was tough enough to get up for 8am dance classes in college.
    image
  • That's how I feel too Musu. I'm generally a morning person but ask me to work out at 5am and I'll laugh in your face.
  • A good friend of mine cheered at U of Illinois - they practiced constantly and always at the crack of dawn. The only time I get up at 5am is to catch a plane, haha.

Thank you - I'll go look in a minute. ;)

  • I was on a swim team one summer. The water is way too cold at 6 am.
  • Yeah, I had to get up at 5am last summer every day. Do not want to do that again. Ever.

Thanks, I'll talk to her tomorrow and let you know.

Her younger one lives for cheer and the senior is talented and loves it, too. There's a lot of drama with the cheer mom crap she tells me about, though.

My DH is really sweet and I can't wait to get my ring. It's what I wanted and couldn't find - bezel set, low profile, simple - the jeweler said 'unbreakable'. I don't know when it will be done or any of the details.

  • Am I totally lame that I bought Willow a small treat too since I knew otherwise she would try and steal Tory's? I wanted Tory to have a special birthday treat and she is too much of a wuss to put up a fight for it. Hahah.
    image
  • Haha, I don't think that's lame. I would have done it too. My parents bought a present for my younger siblings on my birthday as well until the youngest was 4 or so.
  • My E ring is kind of broken. One of the four prongs holdingin the center stone is broken. The diamond feels secure, but I don't want to chance it. So it's sitting in my jewelry box waiting for me to fix it.
  • My cat is being so snuggly, I love it.
  • Ah, well I probably wouldn't do it for humans because they can understand the concept of birthdays and that specialness. But puppies can't, haha. It worked though, Willow didn't bother her at all and Tory got to eat her entire donut shaped peanut butter bone.

<div>You're not lame at all. All my dogs get treats or none of them do. </div>
  • My mom does the same thing with her dogs, Musu. Not weird at all!
