Where are you going for Thanksgiving? (staying home, parents, etc.) Well, before we had Cadence, the holidays weren't too big of a deal. Now that she's around, we have to make a stop EVERYWHERE. Thursday day, my grandparents - Thursday night, Andrew's mom - Friday morning, shopping, Friday afternoon, my dad's and his parents - Friday night, we leave for Killeen to visit Andrew's dad... whew. I'm exhausted already!

Whats your favorite Thanksgiving food? Just one? Impossible. I do really love my grandmother's Cheese and Broccoli Rice

Does your family have any special traditions for the holiday? Nope! Other than football and stuffing ourselves silly!

I'll be spending Thanksgiving out in Tyler with the future in-laws because I don't feel like going up to Amarillo with my family.

My favorite food is pumpkin pie...if it's made right and the crust isn't ick!

My family's boring. We don't have any traditions until Christmas, and even then it's just opening one present on Christmas Eve.

Since most of my family is from this area.. two sets of cousins live literally 5 mins away! We spend the whole time with family. This year since FI's family is from this area too we will see how to divide time between the families.
Favorite thing: Pumpkin pie.. I think if I didn't have any self control I could eat one by myself!
Our family just likes to spend time together for every occasion.

This is our first Thanksgiving as a married couple, so we are splitting the two holidays between family - since they live so far apart. We are visiting my family for Thanksgiving (his for Christmas). I'm excited to go see my mom and grandma. I know I just saw them for the wedding, but I won't be so distracted this time.

Whats your favorite Thanksgiving food?
Oh my gosh. I have lots of favorites. My grandma makes awesome broccoli and cheese rice! I also love pumpkin pie and four layer pie.

Does your family have any special traditions for the holiday?
No, we stuff ourselves and then watch football. Good times. :)

Thanksgiving Day - We are running the Turkey Trot, and that's it! Wahoo!

We are doing Thanksgiving Dinner with my family the weekend before. We will probably have dinner out somewhere with DH's family... because his parents are going on a 3 week cruise and coming back 2 days before.

EDIT: I forgot to answer the rest of the questions..

What is your favorite Thanksgiving food? I don't honestly love any of them...my family are great cooks, idk, I've just never been into the traditional food. If I have to choose though, I love cream corn made from scratch.

Traditions: Umm, hmm. Not really, draw names for Christmas and usually go on a very long walk after dinner. Watch football.

Where are you going for Thanksgiving? (staying home, parents, etc.) We will be going to my dads a few hours away.

Whats your favorite Thanksgiving food? Yep, it's impossible. Sweet potatoes are always good but we only have them when a certain family member will be there, obviously not me, because he's the only one who likes them supposedly. Cheese and Broccoli Rice sounds good- we do not make that though.

Does your family have any special traditions for the holiday? Eat til you puke. Is that a tradition? My stepmothers side of the family is football crazy so the games are always a centerpiece.

FI's family has an earflier dinner, so we will go there first, then head to my parents for a second Thanksgiving!

Whats your favorite Thanksgiving food?
I'm so picky that my mom makes me a piece of chicken (I don't like turkey) then I have macaroni and cheese and rolls. Yes, I am 4.

Does your family have any special traditions for the holiday?
We have a Thanksgiving brunch but that's about it!

We were just going to go to Wichita Falls to see DH's family since we won't be able to make it up there Christmas but with my step-dad passing away so recently my mom has requested us to spend the day with her here so we now have a full day. Stop by my dad's at 11 to see that side of the family, 12:30 go to a family friend's house to have lunch with my mom and that side, then hit the rode no later than 3 so we can get to WF by 5:30 so we can drop of step-daughter with her mom and get to DH's aunt's house by 6. Then eat and head home so we can go shopping EARLY Friday morning.

Whats your favorite Thanksgiving food?
If I have to pick just one I'd say my Pumpkin Chiffon Pie but I love all Thanksgiving food but the sweet potatoes.

Does your family have any special traditions for the holiday?
Our main tradition is watching the Texas/A&M game because my granddad went to A&M and his brother went to Texas so its always fun to see the rivalry.

Other than that the girls started a new tradition of staying up playing games all night until its time to go shopping and then we stop by IHOP first and hit the store and then come home and pass out. Its always a lot of fun even though we are dead tired by the end of it all.

Ha - I just noticed that!

Also, four layer pie - let's see.... it's a rectangle, I can't remember all the layers: graham cracker crust, cream cheese, chocolate pudding, whip cream....
It's really good - but very sweet. I only eat like half of one once a year. Haha - see I said we stuff ourselves.

We will probably head to Keller to spend time with my side of the family. Now that I am thinking about it I haven't really spent any holidays with FI family. They really don't have a big family so it is usually just his parents and grandmother. They normally just do a small lunch. I'm sure when we get married we will combine the families since they aren't too big.

I'm not a big fan of Thanksgiving food. I don't like turkey or stuffing, However, I'm a big fan of sweet potato casserole.

We've had Thanksgiving catered by Olive Garden before and have had a tex-mex theme before too.

We don't have any traditions really. When my Uncle was married to my aunt, she would invite a bazillion people over to her house. I didn't like it because I NEVER knew anyone other than my close realtives. It never felt like a "family" holiday.

Usually my whole family gets together but this year everyone is kind of doing their own thing. So I guess I'll be going to the in-laws (without DH because he'll be at work in ND).

Whats your favorite Thanksgiving food?
Baked ham and rolls

Does your family have any special traditions for the holiday?
Nope. I think we usually draw names for our gift exchage at DH's family's Christmas.

We were going to go to Vegas with my dad and brother but there's no way that can happen now. My uncle and his wife have had some trouble this year so we're going to the Gaylord for their Thanksgiving buffet and ICE. Then we'll go back to our house for football and snacks.
Whats your favorite Thanksgiving food?
My mom's mashed potatoes and my dad making the cheeseball just for me.

Does your family have any special traditions for the holiday?
Well, we used to eat during the first football game and then watch the Cowboys and then the Aggies. The Ags and Longhorns played on Thanksgiving Day for many years up until the early 90's. Now it's back on Thanksgiving night and it makes us so happy!!!! We were planning on going to Vegas to kind of do something new and different that would take our minds off of things. However, with my dad in a rehab facility, that's out of the question now.

CRANBERRY SAUCE. seriously, i put it on EVERYTHING. :)

Does your family have any special traditions for the holiday?
not really. but we've been trying to make some of our own traditions. does having a certain recipe every year count as a tradition?

Destination: I have no family here in TX, so if it is my family's year, we go to St. Louis (mom's family) or to Kentucky (my parents). If it is his family's year, we go to Little Elm with his parents and sister's family. This year is a St. Louis year, which means I don't have to cook! When we are with his family, I cook 75% of the meal with his nieces the night before.
Fave food: Pumpkin Pie!
Traditons: we always get semi-dressed up for all holidays (FI's family doesn't do this, which is SO weird to me, just because mine always does), we wine it up allll day, and forbid political conversations at the dinner table. It makes for a more pleasant family G2G. ;)
I've started the tradition of having his nieces over to help cook the night before for big holidays, and we always have a good time. It is something that I did with my Aunts that I loved doing.

that is an excellent idea and would probably make us more inclined to want to spend time with certain parts of my family. it's fine to have differing opinions, but please don't look at me like i just grew a spare head when i disagree, or, worse yet, act like i'm going to some day grow out of my convictions. like being a liberal is something only an ignorant child would be. i'm probably better read on ALL the big political topics than you are!

We'll be in Hawaii! I'm not sure yet what we'll do. Since we're staying in a cottage, I think it'd be fun to stay in, watch the parade, and cook a small meal. Normally we do two Thanksgiving meals in one day - lunch with his family and dinner with mine. It will be nice for it to be just the two of us for our first Thanksgiving as a married couple.

Whats your favorite Thanksgiving food?
I love DH's mom's dinner rolls. I also love turkey with homemade cranberry sauce, cheesy broccoli-rice casserole and dressing. Pass me the carbs, please! :)

Does your family have any special traditions for the holiday?
Not really. We aren't sports people so we don't watch the game. The last few years, Courts and I have just relaxed at our place after running around the metroplex all day. When we were younger, my sister and I would usually go to a movie that day.

FI and I are going to spend Thanksgiving Day with my family and then have a second Thanksgiving the day after with his family since people will be flying in late.

My favorite thanksgiving food by far is the stuffing!! Yum!

My family has a weird tradition. We don't have a turkey. Instead we order a HUGE deli plater with tons of different meats and cheeses and then we pile up all the good stuff on an onion bun and eat our humongous (sp?) sandwich creations (complete with the traditional thanksgiving side) while watching the game. After we've digested dinner, we usually do something outside (the last few thanksgivings we've played frisbee) and then go inside for dessert!
