Reviews on website to buy engagement ring?

http://www.emmaparkerdiamonds.com/

I was wondering if anyone has purchased or has known anyone who bought an engagement ring off of this website.  I have looked so many different places and when I saw this website I found the ring I want.  I just want to make sure it's legit before spending all the money..

Thanks!!!  Smile

I haven't heard of that one. Blue Nile is supposed to be good. BF got me some earrings from there that I love. Forbes magazine has named them their favorite online jewelry store in the past. I was just telling BF a little while ago that I really like the ring selection and prices at Blue Nile.

Blue nile is another one I'm interested in.  You can get such good deals online I'm just so nervous about not being able to see the ring first.

Thanks so much for the info!!! :)

[QUOTE]My advice is that you will probably have an even better idea of what you like if you try on some in a store... try a family jeweler, not a chain.  They will usually be very low-key and mostly win people by not pressure selling.  Our jeweler served us drinks every time we went in! If you decide to go with online for whatever reason (there's so many... price, unique style, ect,) just review their exchange/return policy EXTENSIVELY.  But I'd say after both, I felt a lot safer with our family jeweler.  And they re-created the design we wanted (with some tweaks by FI) and I was extremely happy.

I agree. I have ideas of what I like, but I'd like to look more before anything is done. Not to mention we probably won't be getting engaged for at least another year. But Blue Nile has a lot to offer. They allow you to purchase the diamon, inspect it, and then have it sent back to create the ring. Not to mention the extensive selection of diamonds. They also have a 30-day return policy.

Also, I would take anything on BBB with a grain of salt. ABC just did an expose on how grades are pretty much bought. You pay them, you get a A rating. You don't pay them, the highest you can get is a B+ or something like that.

From experience, viewing a ring online does no justice to how it may look in person... I was content with looking online at rings but then BF & I went into Zales 2 weeks ago and I saw a ring that I thought was gorgeous... When I looked it up online later I told him that had I not seen it in person I would have just skipped over it...

I'm not familiar with that particular website, but my fiance did purchase my engagement ring online from since1910.com and it is beautiful. I've also heard really good things about bluenile.com.

Yes, actually, my BF got my engagement ring from www.emmaparkerdiamonds.com. It's really gorgeous, lots of tiny diamonds going down the band, with a 1.5ct cushion cut center. I love it!!!! He says that he talked with Tim at their business a lot before making the decision, lots of emails and phone calls, and would recommend him.

I was looking at first on bluenile.com and some other mainstream sites, but I just couldn't find a style that I liked from them. There seems to be more variety and uniqueness with smaller jewelers, even online.
