Work stress

Re: Work stress

  • Work is only stressful for me 3 times a year when it's crunch time and I have to submit grants (I'm an accountant at hospital) so those deadlines are crucial and the stressful part is when the dr revises his/her application every 5 mins. Makes me want to scream and tell them not to email me anything until they have final version. Just finished at beginning of June with that stress so I will be stress-free until October which is after my wedding and works out great. Now that my work load isn't as full, I can be on here more often during the day... Innocent
  • I hate my job, so just the thought of going there stresses me out. Everyone in my department is a raging moron and I have to listen to them ask each other stupid questions all day about how to do the basics of their job. I just sit quietly in my corner and try not to bother with anyone.

There's also a woman in my department that eats and belches constantly and I can hear her chewing and smacking her lips from across the room. I especially can't stand her.

I also have a new boss (my boss's boss) and he's a huge diick. We have a mutual dislike of each other.

  • Everyone here is stressed because our work is based on production, and if you don't meet expectations you are reprimanded or even fired (but only if you really slack off). Plus we have a manager who openly admits to hating our department and treats people like dirt. But she is moving to another department soon so we're hoping that makes things better.

Overall though, I really enjoy my job and just try to stay out of teh daily BS people stir up.

[QUOTE]I was talking to my husband about being stressed about work, and he commented "its not work if youre not stressed". What do you think? How much (% wise) would you say you are stressed at work? What stresses you out at work?

</div><div>My comment is: "at least you have a job". My biggest stress lately has been trying to secure an articling job and it's going to hell. I would kill for a job. Sorry, not helpful or constructive, but I'm so jealous of people with jobs.</div><div>
