  I wouldn't worry about it. Other people have really good reasons to, but it depends on you personally, not everyone else. I'm getting married on Friday the 13th, but we needed a Friday wedding and that date was open, so it works for us.Do what's right for you.

  I was thinking about those days too. I decided on the 4th just because I wanted the day to be perfect and I knew that during the day everyone would think about the tragedy at least once. I don't think that it is a bad day to have it but at the same time you want the day to be without any hint of sadness.

  Unless some of the guests/attendants were in NYC at the time and might be prone to flashbacks and grief, then I say it's a great idea! I love when people schedule positive events on 9-11. It's a great opportunity to create something beautiful in the place of hatred and loss. Reclaim the day!

  Regardless of the bombing on 9/11, 911 is the emergency number for the police, I'd pick another day.

  Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married.   Ahahaha I'm such a dork, I looked through my history to find where this came from, and it was because I looked at another posters posting history and it was like her 5th post. I didn't even think to look at the date and it didn't dawn on me that it was a month away. Still an interesting discussion though!
