After putting it off for weeks, I finally went to change my name on July 28 (the day I found out Olivia was a girl).
It was a very simple process. Since I had a 20 minute wait I filled out the name-change form and put my maiden name in the same box with my last name. The representative looked at the form and my marriage certificate and it was a wrap. She didn't even ask for my old social security card.
I received my new social security card in the mail 2 days later. I couldn't believe it came so fast or that my name was long enough to take up 2 lines lol.
