  No one attacked the OP.  A few of us said that "pre-engaged"  sounds silly.  Other than that, she's fine.  It is perfectly okay to window shop wedding things before you are engaged.  It's perfectly fine to have an idea in general about what's important to the two of you and a sketch about what you want (big or small, casual or formal, religious or secular, ect.).

  
  

  The OP was just a little strange because it came off as defensive.  You have nothing to be defensive about.  You are waiting for the ring, which is an exciting time.  GL and enjoy your relationship.

  Cosmo, nobody was really attacking you, contrary to what some people think. You came up sounding defensive, and that made some folks go "WTF?" They needed some clarification (that often comes off snarky), which you provided.
  
  It's totally fine. Posting here isn't an exact science and you're bound to be misunderstood now and then. I'm sure people misunderstand me sometimes, too. Just shake it off and learn from it. Nobody seems too offended by your presence or anything. You're good to go.

  Yeeeeeahhhhhh..... love ya gals, but this is the crap that kept me away for awhile. I love snark as much as the rest (and OP drove me nuts with the clarifying, re-emphasizing, and just in general blah blah blah) but......................................
