[QUOTE]And OMG I just realized that I'm at the halfway point today! I'm also trying to figure out what book to read next - I'm thinking I'm going to go with The Girl Who Played With Fire. I didn't care too much for the first book but I hear that the second one is a lot better.

1. When I went to my interview two weeks ago, the recruiter said that I should hear back in a week and a half to two weeks. Since today is the two week mark, I am going to be calling him today to see where things are at. (He told me to call if I hadn't heard, and I also want to show that I am very interested.) So I am nervous because I really want to get a second interview and try my hardest to get into this company. It would mean a lot and a huge step forward in life.
2. I am also going the dealership tonight to try to buy a new car. I have been pre-approved for a loan and worked out a great deal with my insurance company, so I just have to check out the car, test drive, and get a good deal for a trade-in. I have the KBB and Edmunds listings printed out to bring along with me to hopefully get as much as I can for the car (I know this might not be the case but I'm hoping for the best.)
I also bawled at my desk first thing this morning. A friend of mine that had passed would have his 23rd birthday tomorrow. His mom is an amazing woman and has turned her grief into singing. She posted a link to her website describing her son, my friend, Carmen. I knew the story but just to read about it really made me miss him and the amazing person that he was. I know that he is looking down and I take comfort in that. It just sort of made me jumbled today.
So yeah that's my day today. I feel like someone is scrambling my brain! I'm hoping all goes well. And I hope everyone else has good days too!
I'm annoyed at BF. We are staying in the city after work to go to a trivia night. So, at his regular wake-up time around 6ish he tells me that we should go in later because we have to stay late. Ummm, yes that makes sense but why didn't you tell me earlier? I got up at 5:15, am now showered and ready with coffee made and you are going to sleep in for almost another hour?

My boss is out and I've pretty much finished any duties for the day, except covering the receptionist lunch.
i have tried to talk FI into getting another one, a lighter brindle or darker wheaten, but so far he says no. maybe if i show him these pictures he will give in...
she looks so mischievous... typical terrier look!! and she has the perkiest ears. do you strip her fur or do some other kind of grooming? my cairn has very coarse, dark, thick fur but my mom's cairn has silkier fur.

I've thought about stripping her but I'm still debating, do you strip yours? We've never stripped any of our other cairns, just a cut in the summer. I try to brush her once a day, if I can catch her.
She's a big stinker and LOVES to swim. She "swims" in her water bowl and loves to swim in the bathtub. FI's parent's were watching her one day and Ishe actually jumped in the shower with FFIL. He said she had a blast fighting with the water.

so does my cairn!! when she was a puppy, i'd put her in the bathroom with me and let her play with her ball while i took a bath before bed, and she would almost always jump into the bath with me AND bring her ball. so adorable!!! she also loves to go to the lake for the weekend. she frolics in the water and loves to dig holes in the shallow end of the lake.
we used to strip our cairns all the time, but it's a bit of work so we don't so much now. now i brush mine and then do minimal stripping. we also trim them around the ears, feet, tail, etc. however, since we have such hot summers around here, when it starts warming up we take off almost all their hair with an electric razor. it grows back really fast, but they get hot with their natural hair, especially my dark cairn. plus i think it's super cute, even though it isn't "standard".
they don't like the stripping at first, but eventually they get used to it and even come to like it. we use carrots and cheese to feed ours while we strip to make it a more pleasant experience.
my breeder now only breeds Westies, so i've been looking for a new one but so far, haven't found one i really like.
