DIY Makeup...am I missing anything?

So i did this last night. Excuse the messy hair lol My hair is going to be down for my wedding day.

Do I need more of anything?
Should I do something different?

The only thing missing is a few fake flashes.

Re: DIY Makeup...am I missing anything?

  • Sorry...look under hair and makeup.
  • Love the way it makes your eyes pop, maybe a bit darker on the lips.
  • I agree with PP. Your lips could be a touch darker but your eyes rock.
  • And my 2cents about lashes... I'm currently obsessed with Urban Decay's fake lash line.  They have ones that are super drama mama... some that are outer edge only, some natural.  It's awesome. I wore them last weekend and every single person said HOLY CRAP WHAT MASCARA IS THAT BECAUSE I NEED IT!  (plus it has the best glue I've ever come across.  I was an actor for a long long time, and always wore falsh lashes on stage because it's just easier...so I've used them all!)
Paprika: I like it when you burp in my ear. It really turns me on.

    ME TOO I LOVE IT!!<div>
</div><div>Your make up looks good! I would also go a darker with your lips, maybe a lip stain followed by a lipstick. Also maybe a bronzer and a little bit of shimmer under your eyebrows. I just think for your makeup to stay and show up in photos a little bit more that in theses photos. Youtube has tutorials.</div><div>K</div><div>

  • You look great and your skin is beautiful but I agree with Beach101010. You are going to need a slightly heavier application because the camera is going to wash the look out and make it look like you don't have anything on. I don't recommend shimmer under the brow because it's going to shine like a beacon of light in your pictures when the flash hits it. Here's an example http://linasbeautystuff.files.wordpress.com/2010/05/p4030086.jpg Her makeup is nice (sanz the hot pink lips) but one of the things that stands out in the picture is that shimmery shadow on the brow.

I would say you need a highlight (lighter color) under the brow that has a matte or satin finish and a slightly darker color just above your natural crease that follows the shape of your brow.

    Hope that helps!

  • I'd define your brows just a bit with a brow wax (I use Sonia Kashuk's quad from Target). Here's what I used for my DIY makeup, and I LOVED it... I hope it'll help if you want to add anything! Highlighter is a must.

Smashbox Primer with SPF 15 (all over face)
Laura Mercier Oil-Free Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 in Porcelain and Nude mixed with Aveeno Calming Lotion SPF 15 (all over face)
Benefit Erase Paste in Medium (under eyes)
MAKEUP FOREVER HD Microfinish Powder (on T-zone)
Lorac Perfeclty Lit Luminizing Powder in Spotlight (on cheekbones)
Benefit Creaseless Creme Shadow in R.S.V.P. (all over lid)
Benefit Powder Shadow in Cowgirl (in crease and contour lid)
Smashbox Powder Eye Shadow in Rapture (as liner and crease contour)
Hourglass Film Noir Full Spectrum Mascara in Onyx
Sonia Kashuk Brow Wax in Dark
    Benefit Benetint Balm (on lips)

I don't use blush because I have rosacea.
