Parents paying for wedding AND giving gifts?

Re: Parents paying for wedding AND giving gifts?

  • My amazingly wonderful mother is paying for the whole wedding. She is also paying for more than half of our honeymoon. I am not expecting a gift. The wedding she is giving us is more than what I could have ever imagined anyway.

  • I didn't vote because I'm not at that point yet.

My parents are paying for the wedding; said that they were going to do so since before I was engaged, and I wasn't going to argue it because they'd just win anways.

But since we're still over a year out is why I didn't vote.

I'm not EXPECTING anything from my parents, they're being so generous as it is, that to expect more on top of that is greedy; but my parents have a tendancy to be super generous so I wouldn't put it past them to give us a gift as well, but like I said, I don't expect anything from them.

My parents are paying for just about everything. I'm guessing, knowing them, that we will also get a small wedding gift as well. It's just my mother's style.

My parents paid for the whole wedding and got us our entire set of china for the shower and wedding gift.
My parents are awesome and also did way too much for my H and I.
  • I chose other because it's slightly similar with some paying hundreds, some thousands.

My parents are paying for the bulk of the wedding. I am assuming this is their gift and expecting nothing else.

FIL are helping paying for the cake and drinks. FMIL gave me a shower gift. I assume there's no wedding gift.

Both sets of families are divorced, so it's each individual person giving.
