What is/was your favorite element of your wedding?

Just as the post says... I'm bored and am in need of some entertainment.

For me...of course as most brides would say the dress.
BUT hold on a second, the next element that I am super excited about is seeing my cake that my baker and I designed together!

    I haven't had my wedding yet, but I would never have assumed the dress would be every bride's answer.  That was an area I really didn't care to spend any money on.  I guess I'm super weird.

    OMG I can't wait to see my cake and the grooms cake, we are from Texas, so you know those Texans are outrages from the Dallas Cowboys. My fiance is crazy about them, I bought him a 2 layer german chocolate cake with a 3rd layer football cake on top with chocolate covered strawberries molded in the colors of the jerseys and the foodball players numbers :)

    I can't forget my dress with my SHOES!!! I love my shoes....there burnt orange but beautiful with an Ivory dress.

    Obviously actually marrying H was the highlight of the day. :)

    Apart from marrying DH, my favorite part was the reception dinner.  We had a fabulous meal that had all the meats served Brazilian style (carved off skewers at tableside).  Our dinner package also included our cake, which was very tasty.

    Hmm, tough call.  If I had to pick one thing, it would be the flowers.  I put a ton of work into them, and I'm so ridiculously pleased with how they turned out, I'm thinking of selling them on Etsy.  Close second would probably be our cake, which was so awesome it made CNN.

    Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284

    Getting to wear dress, veil, etc. all together is going to be neat.  Also probably seeing how all the decor will look once it's put together.

    Do you have a pic of your cake?  Was it cookies like it ays in your bio?  I have been toying with the idea of using cookies instead of cake, but cant find any photos that I like!!  I'm dying to see this CNN cake.

    During the planning process, I thought that the venue was my favorite element.  It was exactly what we wanted, and it fit our budget!  (Something that seemed like an impossible task when we were venue shopping)

    After the wedding, I would say that the photos were absolutely the most important.  I wish that we would have budgeted to have both photographers for the entire night.  I wish we had pictures of all of our guests.

    The one thing I wish we would have skipped was the photobooth.  Only about 25 people actually used it.  I think having a photographer take pictures of the guests would have been a better use of our money.
