Easton Country Club?

Has anyone booked this venue or been to a wedding here?  Would love to hear some reviews!

    Hi,

My fiance and I are holding our ceremony & reception there in the fall.  We looked at a number of places in southeastern MA and did not have any reservations in choosing the Easton Country Club.  Here are some of our reasons for choosing the location.

*Leigh, the wedding coordinator, is very knowledgable and easy to talk to.  She was the only wedding coordinator out of all of the places that we visited that asked us what we envisioned for our wedding and worked from there.  She very pleasant but has the type of personality to easily manage all of the aspects of your wedding.

*There is only 1 function allowed each day.  Since we want to take pictures and have the ceremony outside and need to factor in sunset in the early evening, having the flexibility in the start time was really important to us.

*The decor of the ballroom is how you would expect a country club to be.  The carpet was just redone within the last month or so.  It is large enough for 200 people, but it will not feel empty with smaller receptions of 100 people or so.

*The food is amazing.  We just had our tasting last month.  The passed hors d'ouvres were interesting and delicious, the seafood was very fresh, and the beef was so tender that you could easily cut it with a butter knife.  The cake comes with all of the package options and the additional desserts are indescribable (in a good way).

After the tasting, we met with Leigh to go over our food selections and to ask her opinions on some of our decor concepts.  I have been having a difficult time trying to find ways to decorate the space and our tables without them looking too "overdone" and "tacky".  I presented my ideas and my concerns about them to Leigh and she was able to help sort out the mess of a concept that I had.  Although she is the wedding coordinator for the Easton Country Club, I feel that I am getting my money's worth by having Leigh as a resource.

I hope that this helps :-)

We're booked for May. I LOVE the space, the food is great, and Leigh is awesome! They also have a lot of "vendor" partners, which help narrow down the search for reliable folks in the area (but you don't HAVE to use any of them).
I would definitately set up a time to go see it in person and talk to Leigh.

I just went to an open house there and out of all the country clubs we have looked at, Easton was our favorite. Leigh did say it holds up to 200 - we're having 180 plus a band and DJ and I am concerned with the room not being big enough. They do have a tent option that extends out over patio/gazebo area but I wasn't able to see that so I'm not sure how it looks.

    Thanks everyone,
I did attend an open house and we met Leigh who seemed so incredibly helpful. I've only heard good things about the caterer and I LOVE the package options.  It's like one stop shopping.  We are seriously considering this venue it seems awesome especially since we won't be having over 150 guests.  The thing is... we won't be booking for a while since our date is 3 years away and we are also having a hard time committing to a date but I'm thinking it will end up as a Friday night in June.  The other good thing about Friday nights at the Easton Country Club is the $500 credit toward bar services.
