Hello ladies! I am sorry that I am so late with this! What an honor though...I'm all smiles. :)

    1.  Your Name & your Other Half's Name!
    Naketa and Cameron

    2.  Your Wedding Date
    March 12, 2011

    3.   Your Wedding Colors
Navy, Ivory, Gray (maybe some Chartreuse?)

    4.  Your Age - His Age
    27-29

    5.  Honeymooning where?
I have no idea and won't find out until we arrive at the airport!

    6.  Does your wedding have a theme?
No...we just want a romantic, traditional ceremony and a party-feel for the reception.

    7.  How did he propose?
He surprised me on our Christmas date night...he had my family and his gathered at a resort on Jekyll Island where he tricked me into going for a "play"...it was beautiful. My parents met on Christmas so before he even asked, my mom was all tears from listening to the Christmas music that was playing and reminiscing while anticipating my excitement and happiness at the same time. A friend of ours took lots of pictures and everything was perfect. He also made a video for me of his feelings as he went to pick up the ring and as I primped for our "date night".

    8.  What do you think has been your biggest courting challenge as a Christian couple and how have you all overcome it?
Trying to make decisions based on God's plan for us and not our plans for each other...this is a daily struggle, but prayer and counseling have been very helpful.

    9.  Any advice for other couples?
Communicate with each other and with God. Pray together...but don't forget to pray alone sometimes too. Don't be judgemental...support each other, but be open and honest so that resentment doesn't build when things happen that you don't agree with.

    10.  What's your fave wedding movie?
Hmm...I have soooo many. There is no way I can pick one right now!

    11.  Fave wedding TV show?
Say Yes to the Dress and Four Weddings

    12.  How long between the proposal and the wedding?
    15 months

Thanks for allowing me to share! This was fun. :)

THIS!  I don't think I realized how much it could stretch us (especially me).  Part of me thought I would be single when I graduated (until I met FI).  Where we go is really between FI and God, as FI is the head.  My Type A, oldest child personlaity has been attempting to shine brightly the past few months.  Just know you are not the only couple struggling with this!

Naketa - nice to meet you!  I think it is so cool that your FI is going to surprise you for the honeymoon!  My DH planned it all, but I knew from the beginning where we were going.  Hopefully he'll at least tell you what to pack!

Your FI sounds like a masterpiece of a man.  We are all so blessed with these men and I'm so happy to read your knottie-of-the-week questionnaire!  Good luck with the final preparations for your happy day!!
July 16, Our Wedding Day, is also International Juggling Day!

I am an only child too so we are very much fighting a similar battle! Thanks for letting me know we aren't alone!

I have an idea of what to pack because we agreed to leave the country to go to an island...someplace warm. I will pack the typical beach vacation attire with some dressier than usual options for dinner and dates. I am really looking forward to it. It is such a relief to have them take the lead on this since we tend to be wrapped up with the wedding details more.

Thank you so much for the kind words and the well wishes! I agree that he is a great man and I also agree that we all are blessed because I know that not everyone is so fortunate to have found their mate at this point in their lives. I am thankful that I have...life was good before I met him, but he adds so much joy to it and I love having him along for the ride!
