  • I'm joining in-we have our venue, day of coordinator, photographer, dj, ceremony musicians, officiant and hotel block set so far.  Still waiting to hear back from our transportation and videographer.  No clue on a dress yet though....that might be the hardest part for me to be honest.
  • OMG I haven't even given a second thought to the hotel room block.  I guess I should start looking into that LOL.

  • I love out of the box themes like batman. My FI and I are pretty quirky but we are having a surprisingly tame themed wedding. We are just adding some edgy elements like our save the dates and cake topper are bride and groom on a motorcycle. I love tim burton so my decorations style is going to be a little dark and whimsical. I like swirls and stuff that doesn't look quite even instead of flowers. I have just started looking at photographers, they are soooo freaking expensive!!!

  • LOVE all the great and unique ideas APRIL BRIDES! We're getting married in an art gallery and I guess since I'm an artist that's the default theme. Booked the venue and bought a dress. That's it. Tasted cupcakes... and tonight going to a catering tasting. Designed the STDcards (that's my day job) but haven't printed them. Happy planning. Smile

  • Wow, I'm impressed with how far along some of you are.  We've just booked the ceremony/reception hall today.  Haven't even thought about anything else but will certainly start working on photographers and DJs in the coming weeks!  We're also buying a house this month so things are REALLY crazy for us!!

  • We have an April wedding (had to change from the fall due to costs). Our colors are purple with black and gold accents. As of right now we have the reception site and I personally know a photographer and a dj/band, but I have so far to go! It is hard for me because I wasn't one of those girls planning my wedding since I was 5, so making decisions and having a vision is so hard!

  • Hey all!  New to the group =)

    So far we have the church, priest, venue, photographer, DJ and photo booth.  I also finished creating my wedding montage (momzilla made me do it early...lol).  I am planning to design my own invites, save-the-dates, programs and place cards.  I still have to look for my dress, the flowers/centerpieces, limo, hotel block and videographer, and finalize the color theme (temporarily sunshine yellow and cherry blossom).

    Speaking of which, anyone NJ know a good videographer that does same-day edits under $3K?  I loved the one that I looked at last weekend, but his prices were a little expensive.
  • Wow, I am so glad I am not the only one wanting to get certain things done. FI parents complained about us going this weekend to find a place for our reception. Are people really ALREADY planning for a spring/summer 2015 wedding? That is crazy to me but I guess do what you gotta do! 
    We have only a date set and our date April 12th.
